Huge Konnan Update: $13,000 Raised For Kidney Transplant Surgery (So Far), $18K Goal, AAA Promotion Delivers, Donors Found, Ebay Auctions, Your Help Needed

FIRST, A SIMPLE THANK YOU

Thank you to everyone who has helped with this very special cause over the last 2+ months. We are now approaching the last stretch towards this drive, and we need everyone's continued help. Whether it is in the form of a financial donation, item for Ebay, or even spreading the news of this worthy cause, any is appreciated.

FOUR KIDNEY DONORS FOUND

I have been in constant contact with Konnan, and wanted to share some important updates. First I am happy to announce that there are four very serious donors who are a medical match for Konnan. He has received every email from every person who was so caring enough to offer their kidney. As of this writing (4/2/07) tests are being completed amongst all four to see who would be the best match for Konnan. Once this is determined, arrangements will be made for the donor to travel to Mexico and the transplant will be completed. Currently the target date for the surgery is sometime during the month of June.

In the meantime, Konnan continues Dialysis, prepares for the Kidney Transplant Surgery, and recovers from his Hip Replacement. Please remember that his current medical condition is a life threatening issue; and we have the power to truly make a difference.

Konnan is overwhelmed from everyone's help, love, thoughts, and prayers during this unfortunate situation. I can tell you with complete honestly, this man thanks you more than you will ever know.

$18,000 GOAL, AAA PROMOTION'S GENEROUS DONATION

Yes myself and Georgiann Makropoulos are the ones leading this cause. But without your support, this would not be possible to this point. Over $13,000 has been raised towards his surgery so far. We would like to set a goal of $18,000 to be raised. Yes his surgery will cost $35,000. But I am proud to mention that the AAA Promotion out of Mexico has stepped up and will be contributing the other 1/2 of the costs for the surgery. I personally want to thank AAA for what they have done over in Mexico for Konnan. Their assistance as well as everyone helping with this drive will now allow this Kidney Transplant Surgery to commence.

I would never ask anyone to feel obligated that they must help. But if you can, and if you want, please continue the efforts here so we can reach our goal of $18,000.

Remember, Konnan does not have any medical insurance. Konnan is planning on having the surgery in Mexico because of the lower cost. In the United States, Kidney Transplant could cost $80,000 to $100,000.

Below are several ways you can help. As I've said before, even if every wrestling fan donated $1. Or even $5. His surgery would be paid for in a second.

TNA made a very generous gesture to Konnan by loaning him the money for his Hip Replacement Surgery. However Konnan is on his own with his Kidney Transplant.

With his blessing, we have set up a drive to raise money to cover the expenses so Konnan can have his Kidney Transplant. There have been countless numbers of fans, wrestlers, websites, and wrestling companies wanting to help Konnan in his true hour of need. Now you have the opportunity to do so.

I don't want to single out any websites or wrestling companies who have already assisted. But we thank all of you. I can assure you it is not going unnoticed, not by us or even Konnan.

If you have a favorite website, indy fed, fan site, etc, and haven't seen this information posted, send it to them. No site or fed is too big or too small.

Again it is very difficult to ever see the wrestling community come together for any reason. I am hopeful that in this case it will. There is no excuse why every fan, website, wrestling company, wrestler doesn't take a moment to help this man out.

We've set up all avenues on behalf of Konnan so assistance can be made for him. Now it is up to you. I strongly recommend you listen to Konnan's appearance on our show Thursday evening. It brought a tear to many eyes.
