"HUGE" MAIN EVENT ANNOUNCED FOR UWF DEBUT IN GAINESVILLE, GA MARCH 2!

February 20, 2007

For Immediate Release

"Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner debuted in the United Wrestling Federation (UWF) earlier this month and quickly established himself as the dominant force in the federation.  His claim to that title will be challenged on Friday March 2 when he takes on Kishi (formerly Rikishi) one on one at the Georgia Mountains Center in Gainesville, Ga., UWF officials announced today.

"We always want to give the fans something special", says UWF president Hermie Sadler.  "We wanted someone that could challenge Scott to see who is the "biggest" star in the UWF, and we feel Kishi is a guy that could challenge him."  Steiner, however, is not concerned.  "I am the biggest star in TNA, and certainly the biggest star in the UWF.  I will treat Kishi like the punk that he is," stated Steiner when asked about the match-up.

Also on the card for Gainesville is the UWF debut of Amy (formerly Lita) Dumas, "Cowboy" James Storm, Petey Williams, Jerry Lynn, "Showtime" Eric Young, D-Lo Brown, and a 6 man tag match featuring the stars of MTV's Wrestling Society X.

Tickets are on sale now, including the popular Ultimate Experience tickets, which includes reserved ringside seats in the first three rows and early entry for a meet and greet with the stars of the UWF.

The UWF will debut on Saturday March 3 in Chattanooga, TN at the Chattanooga Convention Center.
