I know that you have been frustrated with the negatives that happened with some of the autograph signings. But, you still keep going. I hope you continue to list these autograph sessions. For me though, my time is coming to an end. Not my life, but doing these sessions. You see, there used to be a time that I could go see one wrestler and have a fun time seeing and talking to him. Even 5 wrestlers isn't too bad. But most signings as of late are trying to become Supershows like Legends Of The Ring. I can no longer afford doing this. Plus, In the latest shows, I do not want to pay $225.00 a ticket to see 20 wrestlers and I have already met 13 of them. Plus you have outside vendors that come in with their own wrestlers and that is more money. Plus if you have action figures,belts an/or magazines to sign, that is even more money. For me, that would be almost $500.00 to go to one of these supershows and I won't do it. Now everyone else is trying to be the next legends of the ring. I still have Terry Funk,The Sandman and Eugene to see in Allentown,PA. but after that, My time for meeting wrestlers is done. It is just way to much money and I can no longer keep up. After these 3 are done, I will have met 104 wrestlers.I no longer watch WWE or TNA. It is not what wrestling used to be in its prime and I have lost interest. Stephen, I hear you. You are the not first person to write me about the above.
I get so frustrated with all the so called promoters who think they will make a ton of money, and when it doesn't work out that way, they screw the fans. It has happened way too often.
Ever since the Benoit incident last year, wrestling has not been as popular as it once was. It has hurt the industry more than people care to admit.
Many Indy wrestlers are complaining a lot more. Not as much work is available, pay is less than before, etc.
Stephen, the promoters are going to miss you and your money, but I totally understand where your coming from.
