I was fortunate enough to have great floor seat for the Rumble last night (believe it or not…just got lucky on TicketMaster!). I wanted to share with you some random thoughts and my opinions upon seeing the event live: 

a)       Ric Flair was treated like a legend by the MSG crowd and rightfully so.

b)       The Jericho/JBL feud is DOA and has absolutely no juice. At an event like this, you should NEVVVVVVER hear the chant of “Boring.”

c)       In my biggest shock of the night I could not believe how over Edge is with the crowd. Rey Rey was booed out of the building. Now was the crowd more pro-Edge or just anti-Rey? I’d go with the pro-Edge.

d)       Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton put on a great show and are 2 major players in the future of the WWE.

e)       The Rumble is incredible live and I’d say that the biggest pops went to: Piper, Snuka, Triple H, Taker, HBK and CM Punk. Cena was on a whole different level.

f)         I was SHOCKED by how over CM Punk is.

g)       The crowd is weird with Cena; sort of the way they were with the Rock. They cheered him like a rock star upon his surprise appearance, but once in the ring with HHH, they HATED him, booing every punch he threw.

h)       Upon exiting, it was almost a riot with people that pissed that Cena had won. If Vince wanted reaction he got it..it just wasn’t a positive one.
