Mike Hawes told the DOI many reasons why 3PW shut down. A main reason, was that Mike, who was new to this area, felt hosed by the people around him. In the limited time he was in 3PW, Mike Hawes invested & lost $25,000. Some of the money lost went to Jasmin St. Claire, who receieved a settlement from the company for rights to the name and operations. Jasmin, who made more money from and by 3PW, than anyone else, saw the company fall into a complete state of disarray when she no-showed several events during the end of her tenure. Mike, who tried his best to hold the damage under control, was never successful, and continued losing money every show.
Mike also expressed his displeasure in the Rockin Rebel. (Real name: Chuck Williams). Mike said he felt bribed and even hinted he was blackmailed by the Rockin Rebel, when Rebel wanted to defend himself against Mike Hawes for firing Rebel publicily.
Mike also told the DOI that his relationship with The Blue Meanie (Real name: Brian Hefferon) suffered and soured when The Blue Meanie returned to the WWE. Meanie has made it clear to the DOI that he just wanted to book, and not deal with the politics of promoting wrestling. Mike said Meanie hardly contacted him about 3PW once Meanie went back to the WWE. Mike said that he hasn't talked to Meanie in months and could care less about The Meanie, and said that the next time he talks to Meanie, it will only be if Meanie calls him.

 | what a day............ Its amazing the things you read when you sign online nowadays. I logged on today to get hit with an IM that said, Do you want to give a comment on 3PW shutting down? Well, color me f*cking shocked when I didnt know 3PW was closed until I got that IM. It's the story of my life really. I found out WWF was sending me to Memphis, on the net. I found an ex had a new boyfriend while I thought she was still with me, on the net. Hey, so why not found out that the promotion I help start and I named, is shutting down and find out on the Internet no less. Not one call, not one email, nothing. Nothing to say heres the deal. My phone can receive calls and not once did it ring in the last 2 months from anyone else in 3PW. Am I surprised? Surprisingly, not really. A lot of things were done without me knowing in the 3 years 3PW was running. So if this is to be, I want to say thank you to the fans that came to the 3PW and spent their hard earned dollars over the years. I want to thank EVERY wrestler who sacrificed themselves for the sake of entertaining the fans and for the sake of making 3PW and entertaining product. And to the haters who tore 3PW down. Those workers who would fake post on all the message boards and rip on 3PW to try and hurt 3PW. 3PW is closed and there is one less place for fans to watch wrestling and one less place for wrestlers to make money. You got your wish. Congratulations, DO*CHE BAGS!!
