….

Dear Georgie,
Just thought that I would drop you a note about my experience at the Hall of Fame last year in Rosemont.

It was truly one of the classiest affairs that I have ever attended.  When we got our tickets, I noticed that
it said "Business Attire, Please".  I took this to mean don't show up looking like a bum dressed in blue
jeans and a t-shirt.  I went out a purchased a new outfit and made sure that my husband had a nice
sweater and dress pants to wear.

We decided rather than walk for blocks we would spend the $20.00 to valet park the car.  Nice!!  When
we got out in front of the Rosemont Theatre, I noticed the long lines running down each side of the building.
Before we got ready to make the long trek to the end of the line, a gentleman standing out front greeted me.
He told us not to bother to walk all the way to the end.  He had attended many events there and told us that
they open all of the doors to let everyone in.  So we just kind of hung out there.

Much to my surprise a big van with dark windows pulled up in front of the building.  Out came Mondo, Chavo,
Hector Guerrero, their sister and mother.  Their mother was carrying a dozen of the most beautiful roses.
They stood taking lots of pictures.  I thought this must be some kind of mix up--maybe they should have
entered through the rear entrance, as no one else was entering through the front.  I just kind of stood there
really dumb founded.  They were only a foot or two from where I was standing.  I really couldn't say anything--I really didn't know what to say that would be appropriate.

When the doors opened, we got one of the most beautiful programs I have ever seen.  The theatre was just
fantastic.  Everyone seemed to be on their best behavior too!  You never know what to expect do you?

The Hall of Fame inductions were touching to say the least.  I was glad that I brought my pocket container
of kleenex with me.  I found the need for them several time throughout the evening, particularly when Tony
Atlas gave his acceptance speech.  Sherri Martel was the funniest of all.  It was amazing to see her make
an instantaneous change into Scary Sherri.  Hogan attempted to steal the limelight--but what can you say
we all know how important he thinks he is.  Nasty of me to say, but I thought the night was for the Hall
of Famers not the inductors.

When we left, we received a very nice medallion on a stand at the door.  It was truly a night that I will remember for all my life.  Wrestlemania was great, but the Hall of Fame was very special.

I am looking forward to tonight.  I will have my box of kleenex at my side.  I know I will need it, when it comes to Curt Hennig.  Having been brought up in the midwest Larry Hennig was someone I watched every
week on AWA.  I can't help but feel sad when I think about Curt.  Leaving behind his wife and children just
seems so senseless.

Well one nice thing about tonight---at least Shawn Michaels won't have to leave early--because someone
won't be comfortable with him in the audience.  Wouldn't it be great if he won tomorrow night??

I should close--Hope that you had a great birthday and will have a nice Wrestlemania weekend.

Talk to you later,
Kathy Keeley
