IWF 6th Annual "Tournament of Champions Weekend" December 17-18:
Two-Day, 16-Man Single-Elimination Tournament in West Paterson, NJ
Two-Day, 16-Man Single-Elimination Tournament in West Paterson, NJ
(West Paterson, NJ)- Sixteen men enter, but only one will be crowned the winner of the Independent Wrestling Federation's sixth-annual Tournament of Champions. The two-day, single-elimination tournament takes place this Saturday, December 17, 7:30 pm and Sunday, December 18, 3:30 at IWF Centre, West Paterson, NJ.
Entered in this year's field are IWF Heavyweight Champion Kevin Knight, American Champion Outlaw Shane O'Brien, Tag Team Champion Shawn Donavan, Tag Team Champion Travis Blake, Junior Champion Dangerous Dan McGuire, BoneCrusher Fred Sampson, Biggie Biggs, Aaron Stride, Tony Torres, Antonio Rivera, Chris Steeler, Playboy Vik Voorhees, Nick Sabre, Justin Corino, Franciz and Jasin Karloff.
The eight first-round matches take place December 17th, with the semifinal round and fatal-four-way final held December 18th. Further, Commissioner Rich Ross has announced that all IWF singles titles will be on the line in the first-round, including the Heavyweight, American and Junior Championships.
What would happen if "Ross Family" members Knight, O'Brien, Donavan and Blake were to cross paths in the competition? Or if teammates Biggs and Stride of "Hott n' Heavy" or Torres and Rivera of "Latin Revolution" square-off in the every man for himself tournament?
Several non-tournament matches also take place both days. Also appearing are Commissioner Rich Ross, Robby Morrison, Bryan Harley, Mike Durnin, Jana, Matt Bennett and Camp IWF Wrestling School standouts!
