Dangerous Dan Determined to Win IWF Title at Reckless Abandon Weekend
:
Faces Knight in Ladder Match; Corino vs. SOB in Lumberjack Match

(West Paterson, NJ)- It's that time of year as the Independent Wrestling Federation presents its ninth annual anniversary event Reckless Abandon Weekend this Saturday, April 22, 7:30 pm and Sunday, April 23, 3:30 pm at IWF Centre, West Paterson, NJ.  The commissioner is back after his forced hiatus last month and has self-servingly billed this year's annual extravaganza "Revenge of Rich Ross!" Here is a preview...

April 22nd features a Triple Main Event including a Ladder Match for the IWF Heavyweight Title as Dangerous Dan McGuire challenges four-time champion Kevin Knight.  Knight has held the gold for six months since October 2005, while McGuire is a former three-time Junior Champion.  Together, they were Tag Team Champion partners from October 2004 through June 2005, with the friendship dissolving when Knight joined The Ross Family in September 2005 and McGuire refused to join the group shortly thereafter.  Last month, McGuire won a 19-Man Rumble to become the top contender. Can he defy the odds and win the top prize in the IWF?

Rich Ross is so confident he manages the greatest unit in wrestling, that three-time IWF Tag Team Champions "Simply Stellar" Shawn Donavan and Travis Blake have issued an open challenge to anyone in the IWF.  Donavan and Blake won the belts six months ago at Evil Intentions in October 2005.  Its safe to say they are on a roll, because at March Madness in a Best 2/3 Falls Match the champs scored a win over Fred Sampson and McGuire.  Will there cockiness get the best of them with his open challenge at Reckless Abandon?

Rounding out the Triple Main Event is a Lumberjack Match for the American Title as champion Justin Corino battles former champ Outlaw Shane O'Brien of The Ross Family.  Corino took the title from the roughneck three months ago at Winter Warfare.  In February, the Outlaw scored a pin on Corino in a tag match after blasting him in the head with his loaded forearm cast.  Last month, Sampson forced SOB to cut off his bogus cast, which saw a wrench and batteries spill out. When the dust settled in the amateur wrestling challenge, Corino outwrestled the Outlaw.  Reckless Abandon is their final chapter as wrestlers surround the ring to guarantee SOB has nowhere to run!

There will be a Tag Team Flag Match as Aaron Stride and Biggie Biggs of Hott n' Heavy represent the USA against the Puerto Rican duo of Tony Torres and Antonio Rivera of Latin Revolution.  At February Fury, Biggs met both Torres and Rivera in singles matches and was the recipient of brutal double-team tactics.  At March Madness, the sides were even as Stride and Biggs picked up the win, but good sportsmanship was not on the mind of Latin Revolution, as they double-clotheslined Biggie in the throat with their flagpole.  Can Hott n' Heavy get revenge at Reckless Abandon in the Flag Match?

IWF Junior Champion Nick Sabre defends against former champion Tommy Trouble.  Last month in a Fatal-Four-Way Match, Sabre last eliminated the returning Trouble.  Afterwards, Trouble shook Sabre's hand, and then clotheslined his friend out of frustration.  As seen this month on Eruption, Trouble lost to McGuire after Sabre stopped Tommy from wrapping a chain around his fist, enabling McGuire to hit the superkick for the win.  At Reckless Abandon, Sabre and Trouble meet again for the gold, this time one-on-one!

In a return grudge match, the 350-pound mastodon Franciz wages war with Chris Steeler.  Last month as Franciz grew frustrated with not being able to put away Steeler, he grabbed a chair.  Steeler managed to grab it from the big man, and blasted him in the head prompting a disqualification as Franciz collapsed to the mat.  As seen on Eruption, Franciz claims it is going to take a lot more than a chair to keep him down at Reckless Abandon!

Also on April 22nd in tag team action, the up-and-coming tandem of Burnin' Mike Durnin and Steve Camacho unite to face the unusual combination of Radical Robby Morrison and Lord Jasin Karloff. Both teams are looking to move up the ranks in the tag team division.

Day two of Reckless Abandon takes place Sunday, April 23rd, and the Main Event features an Eight-Man Tag Team Elimination Open Challenge issued by The Ross Family.  Regardless of what happens the previous evening, Rich Ross sends his quartet of Kevin Knight, Shawn Donavan, Travis Blake and Shane O'Brien into action against any four IWF superstars.
