IWR: CHRISTMAS CLASSIC IS CANCELLED

From the IWR Office:
We always prefer to stay up-front and genuine with the fans about decisions like this one, so here is our explanation and apology...
After careful consideration, we have chosen to cancel the Christmas Classic show planned to take place on 12/18. There are a variety of reasons but the most important of all is that we do not want to go forward and cheat not only the boys in the back, but we would hate to have to cheat the fans.
On the afternoon of 12/18, there is a Detroit Lions home game scheduled and that very same night, there is a WWE PPV planned. While the Lions aren't the ferocious beasts they should be, alot of fans may choose to either attend the game or watch it on television. The same can be said for the WWE PPV later in the evening. Throw in the fact that 12/18 is but one week away from Christmas and the most responsible thing that we could do for ourselves, for the boys and for the fans was to cancel the show.
We at the IWR would like to wish all of our great fans and friends a very Happy Holidays and we are truly sorry that we had to make this announcement. However, again, this is surely the most responsible choice we could have made for this situation.
Onto much brighter news...
As we close out the remainder of 2005, we are gearing up for a HUGE supershow blowout in the new year as a make-up for the fans. Around late January or early February 2006, look forward to the massive "IWR Fourth Anniversary Celebration"!!
Please accept our apology for this recent cancellation and please STAY TUNED to IWRwrestling.com for the remainder of the year! We will continue to keep this website updated with brand-new goodies for the winter, IWR superstar interviews, exclusive commentaries, news on all of your other favorite MI indie shows and of course a constant stream of WWE/TNA/ROH wrestling news and information!
Thank you for making 2005 a very memorable year for us here at the IWR. We look very forward to offering you the next Revolution of indie wrestling come 2006!

Just wanted to let you know that Metro Pro Wrestling and Mad Irish Entertainment will be teaming up to bring you the fourth annual Andrew Michael Figas X-mas charity show.
All Proceeds will go to the Hippo's Handicap and Mentally challenged X-mas fund. All the great stars of Michigan independents get together every year for this one time and will put on a great show. Come on out and you won't be disappointed.
The show will be on Friday, Dec. 2nd in Hamtramck at the HAMTRAMCK HIGH SCHOOL
