…..

Hi Georgie,

I attended the Barnes and Noble Jesse Ventura Book Talk, Q&A, and book signing in Clifton, New Jersey this past Friday evening. I arrived at the store around 3:30 to find I was the only person there. Around 4 PM, I noticed the staff at Barnes and Noble rearranging the furniture on the second floor, so I knew this is where Jesse would be.  I decided to find his book in the store and proceded to buy a copy for myself and a friend. I went upstairs to find two other gentlemen in line waiting. The staff finished setting up the chairs, gave us a wristband, and allowed us to sit where we wanted to. They let us know where they were going to start the signing, so we all sat in the front row. I sat right in front of the microphone not realizing that Jesse was going to stand right there. I saved a seat for my brother knowing that he was going to be late getting out of work. Around 6:30, a few more people started shuffling in. At 7:30, the seats were full and Ventura was on time.

Never have I attended a signing where the talent is on time. Jesse spent about 15 minutes talking about his book and things in general. Then he opened up questions to the audience.Everything went fine with Jesse getting choked up a bit after being asked about our country losing one of our Navy S.E.A.L.'s. Only one person who asked a question became somewhat rude, but Jesse being the voice of the people stood up for his viewpoints. About 8:15, Jesse began signing autographs. He made it clear that if you were a wrestling fan, he would sign as much as you had brought as long as you bought a copy of his book. He posed for pictures and signed. On personalizations of books, this was his answer to that question, "I don't personalize books. You'll get more money for them on the internet if you sell them!" This was definitely one of the best autograph signing I have ever been to. If they run another book signing like this, I might actually make the long drive from Virginia up there. I know that everyone left this signing happy as far as I know of.

Attached are some pictures.

Thanks for listing these signings as they are worth the trip if they go well.

Later,

Paul
