ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The homicide charges against former wrestling legend Jimmy Snuka have been dropped.

Judge Kelly Banach dropped the charges Tuesday during an unscheduled hearing, Snuka's attorney and the Lehigh County district attorney's office confirmed.

Last summer, Snuka was found incompetent to stand trial for the 1983 death of his then-girlfriend, Nancy Argentino, at a motel in Whitehall Township.

Snuka faced third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter charges in the case.
