WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn loves her job

SALISBURY — Houston native Kaitlyn has risen through the ranks from contestant on the show “WWE NXT” to become one of the top stars in World Wrestling Entertainment.

The recently-crowned Divas Champion answered a few questions for GO! Magazine ahead of her stop at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center.

Did you follow wrestling as a kid?

I wanted to be exactly like my brother, and he loved wrestling, so I naturally loved wrestling. I was a tomboy and super athletic, and loved any kind of sports.

It’s funny; I had a few favorites that were super-random like Vader and Goldberg. I really liked Goldberg because he was such a bad (dude), and now I’m using “the spear” as my finisher as a little bit of a tribute to him. That’s a pretty cool full-circle moment.
