MY THOUGHTS ARE ON THE VICTIMS AND THEIR FAMILIES FROM THE 9/11/2001 TRAGEDY.  THEY SHALL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
If you are mad at this lame attempt at a joke, maybe you are taking wrestling a little too serious (and maybe I am obsessed with Photoshop).  No doubt, the Benoit tragedy, steroids/drugs in wrestling and the alarming rate of early deaths within the industry are serious topics, not to be joked with.  But I was thinking about WCW earlier today (the good WCW before Vince McEgo ruined it), and a meeting we once had.  It was when Russo and Bischoff began working together for the first time.  Eric addressed the entire locker room:
"Lets face it guys, we have a cool job.  It's not like we are driving an ambulance, dealing with people's pain and suffering and injuries and carnage.  We are in the ProWrestling game.  This is supposed to be fun.  If we are not having fun, we are doing something wrong."
Good insight by Uncle Eric. Now that is a man who knew how to run a Pro Wrestling Company.  Probably would have done a good job with a Pro Football League, a Bodybuilding League and a bodybuilding supplement company as well.  Lol.  But I digress.
And blame Uncle Eric all you want for the downfall of WCW.  But the fact of the matter is, you weren't there...But I was there and got to see things none of you got to see.  Before you blame Eric, look into the efforts of MORONS like Brad Seigel, Jamie Kelner and Diana Meyers.  And that's just three..the list is long....and full of people just as ignorant and just as clueless when it comes to Pro Wrestling as the three dopes I listed above.
I know the other day I asked if it was time to boycott WWE.  Let me amend that.  If you dislike Vince McMahon and truly believe that he is a bad, evil person; if you believe Spiderman Morality of "with great power comes great responsibility," but when it comes to treating the Wrestlers fairly and despite his ultimate power in the Industry, Vince is not being responsible with the treatment, health and lives of Wrestlers, than you may want to boycott.  Here are some suggestions:
If you have a Nielson's ratings box (do they really exist?  Are there just 5000 in the entire country?  Why doesn't Tivo take over figuring out ratings) than maybe you should consider NOT WATCHING WWE TV (if you have the Neilson's box).  Watch it at a friends house.  And if you want to do more of a boycott...never purchase tickets to live WWE events, go to Hooters to watch their PPVs and buy no WWE merchandise.  If you want to buy a PPV, buy UFC.  Dana White...now that is a responsible industry leader  lol.
But, if you do not have a Neilson's ratings box, than watch wrestling, regardless of what you think of Vince McEgo.  And try to look past the bullshit politics, the horrible writing (please tell me ultimate yes-man, Vince kiss-up boy, Dave Leganna isn't still writing), the predictable, senseless and uncreative storylines, and appreciate the one pure thing left in the industry...the talent and the passion of the WRESTLERS, who give their bodies for the entertainment of us, the fans, and who sacrifice for their love of what they do in that ring.  Support them...screw Vince.
Am I bitter?  Maybe..but not for being fired. I told Kidman 3 weeks before I was fired that I was going to quit...think I told Spanky as well.  No, I was cool with being fired...I knew it was coming and I prepared.  I don't think it is bitterness.
I think it is more disappointment that Vince didn't have the balls (where were those giant grapefruits McEgo always speaks of?) to try and finally use a legit gay guy to play a gay character and play him without all the negative stereotypes that he forced Adrian Adonis, Rico, etc. to use.  I guess trying to get the fans to accept and believe that an actual gay guy could fight and didn't act and look like Liberace was too much for Vince to pull off....easier for him to get the entire crowd behind his top babyface, John Cena (LOL).
Bitter?  Maybe a little that he didn't do that angle/storyline with me.  But not for being fired…if he didn't want to do that angle/storyline, I didn't want to work for him anymore.  I really believe he is a horrible, evil guy.  Examples and "proof" will be in future blogs, the upcoming CNN documentary (CNN is waiting to see what develops with Congress' involvement before airing the documentary) and in my book.
Vince messed up the easiest angle in the history of Pro Wrestling: WCW vs. WWF.  Maybe he should have studied how Bischoff did the NWO angle (hell Vince tried that angle and couldn't do it either).  And EVERYTHING he has tried outside of wrestling has failed (anyone remember WWF NY Restaurant?  I guess he had a bad location. Lol.).  Yeah, with the exception of Wrestling, Vince has been a big failure (Donny Lalonde PPV).  Maybe I am better off that he didn't mess up trying to use a gay guy (or bi guy-Orlando Jordan) to be themselves.  He has F'ed up virtually everything else, he would have F'ed that up too.......
I just want to warn some people.  This is just the beginning of my assault on Vince.  The stuff that I said that MAY be in the upcoming CNN documentary is the next step...and than I drop the biggest bombshells in my book (shameless plug alert) which you can pre-order right now and save 34% at www.amazon.com and search for "Who Better Than Kanyon" by Chris Kanyon with Ryan Clark (just a working title..it will be something different)..
Why am I going after Vince?  Number one, I don't like him…based mostly on the proof that I have and will be revealing that he is not a good person.  Number 2, to be honest, it is fun; it is fun to call out and hold accountable evil people.  Number 3, I am just saying/doing the things 95% of the Wrestlers want to do and say but can't say because they may want to work for Vince again, or don't want to lose their current job with him.  The Wrestlers should be heard.  I am one of the few that can actually speak out.
And number 4, and most importantly, I do believe with great power comes great responsibility.  Vince is the most powerful man in Wrestling, but is being totally irresponsible when it comes to the treatment, health and lives of the Pro Wrestlers in this business. Where is Vince's sense of responsibility?  Where is his concern?  Where is his heart?  I don't know.  Maybe they are in Parts Unknown.
