KARL VON HESS PASSED AWAY THIS MORNING

I just received word from Mike Aldren that Karl Von Hess has passed away. He received a phone call from Pam, Karl's daughter in law. She informed Mike that Karl passed away in the early hours of this morning, August 12, 2009. He was the first post World War Two wrestler to take the German heel gimmick nationwide. He was 90 years olf.

November 15, 2005: Karl von Hess' wife Lenora Von Hess passed away. Their son Johnny Von Hess is taking care of Karl.
October 2006: Karl von Hess lived with his son (John) and his wife (Pam) in Mays Landing, New Jersey.
Bruno Sammartino wrestled Karl on March 19, 1960 at Madison Square Garden.
Our sincere condolences and sympathy to the Von Hess family.
