NEW SERIES "SUPERCARD" HAS STARS RE-EXPERIENCING HISTORIC PAY-PER-VIEWS
For decades when the credits would roll at the end of wrestling pay-per-views, it seemed all feuds were resolved with clean wins and fans and federations were satisfied and could start angles anew. Well today sees the premiere of a new shoot series that peels back the layers of those historic pay-per-views, told by the stars that were atop those cards. Enter Supercard.
Supercard, a new shoot series by producers Kayfabe Commentaries, spotlights everything and anything there is to discuss about one pay-per-view per edition of the series. The premiere episode, released today at www.shootinterviews.com, spotlights Wrestlemania 2 and stars King Kong Bundy. The two hour edition covers anything you can imagine about Bundy's entrance into the company, working with Hogan, the build-up to the show, and the feud driving angles. Ratings, attendance, buy rates and more are chronicled. The official trailer can be viewed here: http://kayfabecommentaries.com/SC001_TRAILER.html.
Producers Kayfabe Commentaries' president Sean Oliver says the goal of the series is to profile the moments we all remember from wrestling history in a format not unlike the company's groundbreaking Timeline series.
"The chronological retelling of wrestling history in each edition of Timeline became the series' benchmark,"Oliver began. "Here with Supercard, while we are profiling only a specific pay-per-view rather than a whole year like Timeline, we keep that chronological progression through the angles and major events leading up to our examination of the actual event." Oliver said Supercard will be the definitive re-experiencing of wrestling's pay-per-views, told by the stars that worked the top of the profiled pay-per-views.
Episode one, King Kong Bundy Re-experiences Wrestlemania 2, is available now on DVD, instant VOD, and download at the company's site www.shootinterviews.com.
