Former WCW & NWA World Tag Team Champion and the leader of The LAX, Konnan,
was one of the special guests on this past week's live edition (07/10/06) of
Monday Night Mayhem, which can be heard in streaming audio every week (and
live from 7-9PM ET every Monday night) exclusively on The Monday Night
Mayhem Radio Network (www.MondayNightMayhem.com ,
www.WrestlingMediaNetwork.com , www.ObsessedWithWrestling.com ,
www.Dory-Funk.com, & celebrating its 10th Anniversary,
www.AudioWrestling.com  -- your official home of "The Spring Break Incident"
Video-On-Demand, featuring Stuff Magazine's all-new fitness correspondent,
the hottest member of this past season's edition of ABC's "Dancing With The
Stars," & WWE Diva, Stacy Keibler).

The interview with “K-Dogg" is now available to hear for FREE in Real Audio!

Here are some of the highlights from the interview provided by the show's
senior correspondent, "Mr. DFL."

=============================================================

The Big Mosh & Blade welcomed Konnan to the show, as all three were immersed
in watching this past Monday's 2006 MLB All-Star Home Run Derby. Konnan
started the interview by mentioning that he was currently in his hometown of
California, soaking in his pool & rehabbing his hip -- which is doing better
day-by-day.

Mosh then went right into the success of LAX of the past year, and at this
Sunday’s TNA Pay-Per-View (Victory Road), Homicide going one-on-one with Ron
“The Truth” Killings. Konnan thinks that The 3 Live Kru (himself/BG
James/Killings) were not given the push that they truly deserved, and with
all of the recent national problems with immigration, Konnan presented
himself to TNA’s Creative Team and gave them the idea for the group.
Originally, they had a few people that did not fit perfectly into the group,
such as: Apollo & Machete.

He loves the push that "The Notorious 187" has been receiving so far in
Total Nonstop Action, and sincerely believes that Homicide is "the future of
the business, if he stays on the right path, and does not succumb to the
pressure of backstage politics." It is a proven fact that Konnan, Rey
Mysterio, & the late Eddie Guerrero were three of the main founders of
Latino wrestling, and "K-Dawg" said that he will help Homicide any way he
can, so that twenty years from now, he can be mentioned in the same breath
as the aforementioned three.

Blade & Mosh shifted gears to the topic of Rey Mysterio's success over the
past three+ months as the World Heavyweight Champion in the WWE & his
"underdog" storyline. Konnan did not want to hold back on this issue, by
replying that it all stated with Eddie Guerrero in early 2004. "The WWE has
no other choice but to give Eddie a run with the title." Mosh then brings up
the topic of Rey Mysterio’s “Underdog” success as World Champion. He feels
that the "E" was in the exact same situation with Mysterio, because Batista
got hurt, and in the nine-minute match that he had at WrestleMania 22 with
Kurt Angle & Randy Orton, Rey had the "best match of the night." Konnan went
on to say that match could have been given some more time, in retrospect,
but Mysterio made the best of a bad situation. When the WWE was in Rey's
hometown of San Diego several months back, we saw The Great Khali destroy &
decimate Mysterio, which is another thing that Konnan believes World
Wrestling Entertainment dropped the ball on, in front of Mysterio's home
base.

The newly-enacted WWE Talent Wellness Policy was the next item up for
discussion, in the event wake of Rob Van Dam losing both the WWE & ECW
Championships, due to his being caught by Ohio State police for drug
possession & his 30-day suspension that is ongoing as a result. Konnan's
honest opinion on the rules & regulations set forth by World Wrestling
Entertainment on this controversial matter, he feels, starts off with the
return of "The Animal," Batista to Friday Night SmackDown this past week.
"He looks like he's juiced up still. In addition to Dave, everyone knows who
does what & who does this." By being on the road full-time with the WWE,
Konnan is not surprised to hear that many of the talent in the WWE are
taking pain pills in order to get through their work weeks. If Triple H
tested positive for one of the banned substances, "K-Dawg's" response to The
Mayhem's question in a "blunt fashion" (so to speak): “The wrestling
business is the only business where you can’t have more than triple
standards."

Konnan then talked about Rhino's decision to stay with TNA into the future
as one of the best moves in the history of the company. He does believe that
with "The War Machine" staying aboard full-time, he could see both members
of Team 3-D staying as well, but he cannot speak for Brother Ray, Brother
Devon, or anyone else that has "their own business decision to make." He
does know this, that "if you didn't get your time up in the WWE, and you can
prove your wares in TNA, you can get yourself rebuilt the right way
creatively."

Konnan, along with a vast majority of the locker room, truly feels that
Total Nonstop Action is the future of the wrestling business, and has seen
firsthand how popular it has become -- from Day One ("Wednesday night PPV's
at The Barn"), to Fox Sports Net, to monthly Pay-Per-Views, & over the past
year, Impact on Spike TV. Within a few months, he hopes that Spike TV will
give them two hours or programming (instead of one), especially without a
UFC lead-in -- which can truly show the world of professional wrestling &
sports-entertainment what TNA is truly made of.

Blade asked Konnan what his thoughts were on the WWE using the name of Eddie
Guerrero in recent storylines after his passing and still to this very day
on Friday Night SmackDown. Konnan thinks that if "Eddie's family stops going
along with the story lines, then the WWE will stop with the checks." Last
November, he was at Eddie's funeral, and it was a very sad day -- not just
for paying his final respects to one of his best friends ever, but because
everyone was putting over Vince McMahon & how great he was. "It was all for
Eddie, not for Vince." Two months after Eddie's passing, Rey Mysterio asked
the front office for their permission to do a tribute show for Eddie, the
WWE said they were already planning on having one -- to this day, no tribute
show. "The only thing we have been able to have so far was Chavo Classic
putting on a tribute show in Denver, CO with just Mexican wrestlers. Based
on this, the WWE is classless."

Staying on the subject of the Guerrero family, Konnan thinks that Chavo Jr.
is not set financially to where he wants to be (the main reason he is still
there), like how Christian & Chris Jericho are right now -- and how they
were able to walk away "from the big time" after saving up properly. He also
believes that "even more people are going to be leaving World Wrestling
Entertainment, sooner than later -- due to lack of money, stress, & internal
fighting with the office." Konnan would not give Mosh & Blade any names, but
did say he is good friends with who he was referring to in this statement.
He wants to see Chavo leave on his own terms, and not have to worry about
the pressure of carrying the "Guerrero banner" in the WWE.

With regards to the much-publicized possible debut of the new Wrestling
Society X project on MTV, Konnan thinks that the financial backers behind
this concept are "very smart," and "they are not going to sell the majority
of the people because of the wrestling, but because of the rock bands
associated with it." Konnan also mentioned that both TNA & the WWE would
probably be keeping a close eye on this just for new talent. With all that
is going on in the scene right now, he feels that "it's just a matter of
time before wrestling will be hot once again."

Konnan this it is pretty bad that the WWE would let the new ECW on
television. After being in Extreme Championship Wrestling for a while, he
knows what the "extreme" was about, whereas "they have no clue what's it
about, even if it was staring them right in the face."  He believes that if
World Wrestling Entertainment wants ECW to be a success, then let Paul
Heyman do what he does best -- and that’s book & run his own thing. Guys
like Sabu, The Sandman, & Tommy Dreamer are all broken down -- "Vince knows
this, and that's why you will see more new guys like Mike Knox be put over
as the face of the new ECW. Plain & simple, McMahon like to destroy what he
does not like."

In the closing segment of the interview, Mosh & Blade brought up the
soon-to-be-released DVD being put out by World Wrestling Entertainment, in
tribute to the late "Loose Cannon" himself, Brian Pillman. Konnan is glad to
see Pillman's legacy forever immortalized, but on the flip-side it is very
sad when remembering all of his brothers that have since passed on in the
past ten years ("Ravishing" Rick Rude, "Mr. Perfect" Curt Henning, & Road
Warrior Hawk) -- "It's a shame that these guys are not with us any longer."
With regards to his best memory of Pillman, he remembered a time when Brian
called him up and asked to book him in Mexico, because he wanted to know
"what it felt like to be in the main event there." He believes, 100%, that
TNA's work schedule (three days/month) & travel schedule can prevent a great
deal of future deaths from happening, and that "the WWE can take a page out
of their competition's book in the process by trying to follow their lead."
As a parting shot, Konnan also wished to publicly thank the Carter & Jarrett
families for all of their hard work they have done for him (both personally
& professionally) and for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.

Konnan's trip into The Mayhem (a 45+ minute classic) was filled with all of
what you read above -- in addition to "K-Dawg" giving his uncensored takes
on: why the WWE will be taking the World Heavyweight Championship from Rey
Mysterio sooner than later & who he thinks the Creative Team will be giving
it to, whether or not CM Punk can be the "savior" for the new ECW, if Ring
Of Honor can survive full-time if/when TNA expands its schedule, Super Crazy
& Psicosis' future in the WWE & how long he thinks the two former Mexicools
will feud for, the heat on The Naturals in TNA & if their push w/"The
Franchise" Shane Douglas could be affected as a result, and his EXTREMELY
CANDID comments on his former boss in World Championship Wrestling, Eric
Bischoff. A little hint (that believe or not does not give anything away
even): "He's a little b!tch!" Fans, do not miss this power keg of an
