Once in a lifetime, a wrestling supercard comes along that changes wrestling history: Showdown at Shea, the Brian Pillman Memorial Show, The War To Settle The Score, The Crockett Cup, Wrestlemania III, One Night Stand.

Now, Pittsburgh gets its own supercard: Steel City Wrestlefest! On May 24th at the Rostraver Ice Garden, the biggest names in wrestling all convene under one roof for the first time ever. And this time, it's for charity. Steel City Wrestlefest benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

KURT ANGLE returns home to face off with BUBBA THE BULLDOG with his cornermen Jimmy Vega$ and Eric Angle!
The B-94 morning man spent the better part of 2007 calling out
Olympic Gold Medalist
Angle, demanding Angle come face to face with him. Bubba finally gets his wish, as Angle is coming to Steel City Wrestlefest with one thing in mind: shutting up Bubba the Bulldog! But Bubba has promised to have two cornermen with him. One is his old partner Jimmy Vega$, and the other is Kurt's brother, Eric Angle! What's the story there? Will the odds stack up against Angle?

A Special Appearance by
BRUNO SAMMARTINO

If Kurt Angle wasn't enough Pittsburgh wrestling for you, the "Living Legend" Bruno Sammartino will also be in the house! What can be said about Sammartino that hasn't been said before? He is a former 2-time WWWF World Heavyweight Champion. His first reign began as he defeated the first champion, "Nature Boy" Buddy Rodgers, at Madison Square Garden. The reign would last an amazing 8 years, a record that has yet to be broken. Bruno also set another record: the first wrestler to hold the WWWF Championship twice, defeated Stan "The Man" Stasiak, and holding the title for another 3 years. Bruno has kept his distance from the wrestling business, only choosing to attend the most special events. Steel City Wrestlefest is no different!

SPECIAL SURPRISE!
A current wrestling superstar seen on television each & every week will be attending Steel City Wrestlefest! The only way to see who it is will be to attend the pre-show! Remember, you must have a ticket to the main show to purchase pre-show admission.

"THE MASTERPIECE" CHRIS MASTERS vs. STERLING JAMES KEENAN
For the first time ever, "The Masterpiece" Chris Masters will be taking on the "Iron City Superstar" Sterling James Keenan! The current Zero-One US, 1PW, FNW, NWA East, AIW, Xero Underground, and Ballpark Brawl Champion SJK is on a hot streak, collecting title after title. 2008 has been SJK's year, and a win over the former WWE star would make 2008 even sweeter.

THE HEART THROBS vs. SOUTHERN COMFORT
Two top teams will be competing for tag team supremacy on May 24th. Chris Hamrick & Tracy Smothers, Southern Comfort, are former IWC, 1PW, and IWA Mid-South Tag Team Champions. While both men were stars in ECW, Smothers also held the ECW Tag Team Titles. The HeartThrobs are former OVW Tag Team Champions and former WWE stars. Romeo Roselli & Antonio "The Promise" Thomas are coming to Rostraver to prove they're the best tag team around.

CHRISTIAN YORK & JOEY MERCURY vs. BABYFACE FIRE
Speaking of tag teams, Shiima Xion & Jason Gory of BabyFace Fire will be in action on May 24th! The current IWC Tag Team Champions put out a challenge to any team willing to take them on! Who stepped up to the plate? Two tag team specialists who are reuniting in Pittsburgh for the first time in 6 years! Once considered one of the best young tag teams in professional wrestling, former ECW stars Christian York & Joey Mercury (known as Matthews back then) were at the top of the tag team game. They even dominated the Pittsburgh area, with both men achieving success in Norm Connors' Steel City Wrestling. In 2004, York left the wrestling business for 2 years while Mercury went to OVW, and eventually became a WWE Tag Team Champion as a member of MNM with Johnny Nitro (John Morrison). Now they're reunited sure to be a test for the young champions Xion & Gory!

THE BLUE MEANIE vs. "THE SEXUAL ICON" ERIC XTASY
Former WWE & ECW Star The Blue Meanie might be one of the most unique individuals in professional wrestling. From his dancing parody days in ECW to the Blue World Order to Bluedust in WWE to the J.O.B. Squad, his returns to ECW and WWE... he's been all over the world with the broadest array of roles in wrestling history. His charisma and unexpected power and agility always catch his opponents off-guard... but what happens when he'll meet somebody just as (if not more) charismatic as him, whose power and agility cap off an otherwise well-rounded professional wrestler? Eric Xtasy may be the best person to match up to the Blue Meanie. His mind games and in-ring ability make him a threat to anybody he steps in the ring with, and his charismatic entertaining antics are always crowd pleasers. But Xtasy has a mean streak, and Meanie would be wise not to let himself see that streak. These two men have crossed paths before, but have never competed in the ring. Will this be a breakout performance by Xtasy? Or will the more experienced Meanie be able to overcome the "Bisexual Bulldozer"?

Best In Pittsburgh 3-Way - Special Referee: Dominic DeNucci
DENNIS GREGORY vs. BAD BOY B.A. vs. JIMMY VEGA$

For years, Pittsburgh wrestling fans have argued over who is the best wrestler in Pittsburgh. What better place to find out than at the biggest show in Pittsburgh wrestling history! Dennis Gregory has been a Pittsburgh wrestling mainstay for over a decade. Having wrestled in nearly every major wrestling company in the Pittsburgh area, Gregory has racked up several regional titles in his career, including a record 5 IWC World Heavyweight Titles. Bad Boy B.A. has been considered one of the best wrestlers in Pittsburgh for years now. Currently one-half of the NWA North American Tag Team Champions with his tag team partner Paul Atlas in the Wrong Crowd, BA is also a very accomplished singles wrestler, having held the NWA East Heavyweight Title several times, and even has an NWA World Heavyweight Title reign under his belt. Jimmy Vega$ is a former 2-time IWC Heavyweight Champion. While active in the Pittsburgh wrestling scene, he recieved several try-outs with World Wrestling Entertainment, and even competed in dark matches against some of the top talent in WWE. The referee for the match could also be considered one of the Best In Pittsburgh. Dominic DeNucci is perhaps best remembered as one of the most well-known instructors in recent memory, having trained MIck Foley, "The Franchise" Shane Douglas, and many others. He also had a hand in training Foley for his Last Man Standing match in February 1999 with The Rock (along with the Iron Sheik and Mr. Bob Backlund). DeNucci is another definitive Pittsburgh legend, and Steel City Wrestlefest would not be complete without him!

Their Final Match - A Ladder Match:
"SNAPSHOT" CJ SENSATION vs. JUSTIN IDOL

Back in 2003, CJ Sensation and Justin Idol were considered two of the top local young wrestlers in the Pittsburgh indy scene. They were slated to compete in a Best of 5 series in NWA East, with the winner having 3 wins over their opponent. Idol was the NWA East Three Rivers Champion at that time, and the series was set at one win a piece. Then on July 4th, something went wrong. CJ Sensation was competing in a match in West Virginia and suffered a broken neck. Two years later, he entered a wrestling ring as a wrestler for the first time since the injury as he took on Idol at Summerfest 2005 in Butler, PA. Sensation won that night, but Idol had just finished wrestling Matt Hardy. Both men have wondered what would happen if they would meet up one more time, with both of them at 100%. So now, on May 24th, they will meet one last time! What kind of

Special Challenge Match:
DEAN RADFORD vs. "BALLS HOT" TROY LORDS

"Balls Hot" Troy Lords and Dean Radford will do battle at Steel City Wrestlefest! It seems Lords feels a bit resentful towards his longtime friend Radford after Radford moved to the Arizona area. Lords even goes as far as insinuating that Radford's family would be rooting against him in their first-ever one on one contest. It will be interesting to see how this match goes down on May 24th at the Rostraver Ice Garden!

Pre-Show Match:
"THE SPOTLIGHT" SCOTTIE GASH vs. KATO

In pre-show action, former NWA East Heavyweight Champion & IWC Tag Team Champion "The Spotlight" Scottie Gash will be taking on the unique, wily veteran Kato! These men have met several times before, especially in 2007. In fact, their series of matches was voted as the 2007 Feud of the Year in a local company! Will they pick up right where they left off?

All that plus much much more! Keep checking back to
