Is Zack Sabre Jr. the new "Best In The World?" We will find out after
the next five EVOLVE and WWN Supershow events. We devote this WWN Alerts to this

February 22nd: It's been a while since a wrestler has claimed to be "The Best In
The World." Bryan Danielson was the first to call himself by that moniker. CM
Punk then adopted it in WWE. Lately, we've seen fans calling Zack Sabre Jr. the
new "Best In The World."
The case can even be made for Sabre Jr. by looking at The Wrestling
Observer Awards. Bryan won Best Technical Wrestler from 2005-2013, a dominating
reign. The award was recently named after him. It was Sabre Jr. who unseated
Bryan. Zack Sabre Jr. is the 2014 and 2015 Bryan Danielson Award winner.
Sabre Jr. is much too modest to call himself "Best In The World."
EVOLVE officials believe that modesty comes across in the ring to the point of
being detrimental to the top technical wrestler today. In fact, you can see in
the interview that the disappointed Sabre Jr. hasn't had
the win/loss record to match his high skill.
The missing element- attitude.
"The night, after I beat Roderick, I cut a promo about being the
"Best In The World," and it stuck....It worked because it was boastful and it
gave me an attitude...." - Daniel Bryan in his book My Improbable Journey To
The Main Event Of WrestleMania
That attitude took Bryan from being the
best technical wrestler to being the "Best In The World." EVOLVE officials have
decided to line up a series of matches for Zack Sabre Jr. to test him, to push
him and to break him out of his comfort zone. Sabre Jr. is going to need to have
that boastfulness and attitude to be successful, get wins and take his spot as
the "Best In The World."

-EVOLVE 57 vs. The Technician: Zack
Sabre Jr. vs. Drew Gulak
-EVOLVE 58 vs. The Flyer: Zack Sabre
Jr. vs. Will Ospreay
-EVOLVE 59 vs. The Fighter: Zack Sabre
Jr. vs. Matt Riddle
-WWN Supershow vs. The Rival: Zack
Sabre Jr. vs. Chris Hero
This series is designed to be the ultimate physical, mental and
emotional test for Zack Sabre Jr. Being a great technical wrestler will produce
"this is awesome" matches, but it won't get him the victories he needs. There is
no question that Zack Sabre Jr. is one of the most dynamic and skilled
performers anywhere, but is he "The Best In The World?"
