Two reports…..

- From A.J. Pan

Primo Colon defeated William Regal with a Backslide.

Lance Cade defeated D. Lo Brown with the Sitout Sideslam Spinebuster.

WWE Womens Title Match:
Beth Phoenix defeated Mickie James with the Glam Slam.

Jamie Knoble defeated Gene Snitksy with the Dragon Sleeper/Bodyscissors combo. After the match Snitsky laid out Knoble.

World Tag Team Title Match:
Simply Priceless (Ted Dibiase Jr. & Cody Rhodes) defeated Cryme Tyme (JTG & Shad Gaspard). Shad had Dibiase pinned when Cody ran to the ring while the referee was with JTG and hit Shad with an Elbow to the back of the Head. After the match as Dibiase & Rhodes are celebrating, Cryme Tyme steal the belts back and run backstage.

WWE Intercontinental Title Match:
Santino Marella (with Beth Phoenix) defeated Kofi Kingston with a Rollup and interference from Beth. Pre match Santino went on a speech saying on how New Yorkers are a little slow and sang a song to the tune of Frank Sinatra's "My Way" about him being the 2 time IC Champion.

John Cena & "The Animal" Dave Batista defeated "Y2J" Chris Jericho & "The Big Red Machine" Kane when Cena pinned Kane with the FU. Pre match Jericho ran down the crowd and spoke of how it was the fans fault that Rebecca Michaels got hit at SummerSlam.

Main Event:
World Heavyweight Title Match:
Steel Cage Match:
CM Punk beat John "Bradshaw" Layfield by escaping the Cage. Pre match JBL went on a speech on how he was going to make history and be the savior to New Yorkers and become champion and how he was New York's favorite son. Funny spot during the match, JBL slammed the Cage door into Punk's head. He slammed it so hard inwards that the referee couldn't open it back up. It took another referee and 2 more people from the back to get it open and it was a good 5 minutes they were working on it. Once it got open it got a big pop from the floor and a "referee" chant.

WWE returns to MSG on December 28th. All in all, it was a fun show. The crowd was live all night.

Hey Georgie,

Just got back from the Raw brand house show at the Garden. Pretty
decent event, the crowd was crazy for the most part with the arena
filled up about 16-17,000 strong.

No Lilian Garcia tonight, instead we got Tony Chimel. The show started
promptly at 7:30 as advertised. Kelly Kelly was the guest hostess for
the night, and she interacted with the fans every now and then, doing
the whole guest manager, guest bell ringer routine.

Match 1: Primo Colon defeated William Regal.
- Nice reaction for Carlito's brother, even though the majority of the
crowd didn't recognize him. Regal got heat as expected. The match
went a good ten minutes, with Primo scoring the pin after a roll up.
Good debut for Primo.

Match 2: Lance Cade def. D'Lo Brown.
- Cade is as boring live as he is on TV. Great to see D'Lo Brown
return to MSG, the crowd loved him. Probably a better match than
the previous one, with Cade on the offensive before D'Lo came
back to hit most of his signatures. He missed the Frog Splash off
the top, and then fell to Cade's side effect/powerbomb finisher.

Match 3: Beth Phoenix def. Mickie James to retain the Women's
Championship.
- Your basic ladies match, nothing different from what we've
seen from these two. Mickie was quite over with the crowd. Beth
nailed her finisher for the win. Nice ovation for Mickie after the
match.

Match 4: Jamie Noble w guest manager def. Snitsky
- Noble came out with a kid from the crowd for his match
with Snitsky. After controlling seemingly the entire contest,
Snitsky ended up losing to Noble after Noble locked in a
modified reverse Dragon sleeper for the surprising submission
win. Noble received a big boot for his efforts after the bell.

Match 5: Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes def. Cryme Tyme to
retain the World Tag Team Championship.
- MSG went nuts for Cryme Tyme, who were sporting their
newly stolen Tag belts. Before their entrance, the champs
cut a long promo on the crowd to a chorus of boos. After
some back and forth, Rhodes & DiBiase took the win after
Cody hit JTG in the back of the head during a pin attempt.
Cheap finish, though afterwards Cryme Tyme struck back
and re-stole the gold.

Intermission.

Match 6: Santino Marella def. Kofi Kingston to retain the
Intercontinental Championship.
- Santino came out with Beth Phoenix and delivered a real
funny promo on the Garden and the people of NYC. Then
Kofi came out to a great reaction, complete with pyro. Cool
to see him make his Garden debut, I actually met him earlier
today at an autograph signing, real friendly dude. Regarding
the match, Santino played the comedy heel well, and Kofi
hit all of his major offense. Santino won after Beth provided
the distraction.

Match 7: Batista & John Cena def. Chris Jericho & Kane
- Probably the best match on the show overall. Jericho
got on the mic and cut the same promo he's been cutting
for weeks. Cena and Batista worked great together and
all four put on a great match. Late in the doubt, Batista
hit both Jericho and Kane with spears, leading to the
victory for his team. Lots of posing afterwards, with the fans
eating everything up. Funny moment, before the match
began, a ringside crew member was sweeping the ring
after the pyro display and Cena grabs the guy's arm and
raises it in the air. Funny stuff.

Main Event - CM Punk def. JBL in a Steel Cage Match to
retain the World Heavyweight Championship.
- JBL trash talked before the match, running down the
fans and putting himself over. Loud boos for him, and
equally loud cheers for Punk, who looked really excited
to be there. Slow paced match, but it had its moments.
Several close calls, with the cage door opening. The
ending came as JBL and Punk were trading blows right
by the door, and JBL landed a punch that sent Punk out
of the ring, giving him the victory. Then Punk hit JBL with
the GTS on the outside for good measure.

All in all, it was a great show, the first house show at MSG
in over 3 years. The WWE returns to the Garden on Sunday,
December 28th at 8:00 pm. Tickets go on sale this coming
Saturday.

Thanks for reading.
