MAJOR UPDATE NWA WRESTLING LEGENDS FANFEST WEEKEND

- Press Release
Good news and some bad news…..
Good bit of news for you guys this evening from my temporary weekend home in Newark, New Jersey.
I understand a lot of news has been circulating recently, and today especially, so I didn't want to wait until I returned home next week to address this.
First, most of you know I've been working very hard to reunite the original Four Horsemen at our Charlotte fanfest weekend. James J. Dillon and I first discussed the possibility when I was last in New Jersey last October. I knew then that was something I wanted to work towards making happen this summer in Charlotte.
You also know that it's a great honor to have all of these guys appear, but there are some delicate dealings, and hurdles to clear. I want to thank all of them for being nothing less than what we all appreciate in "Horsemen."
Within the past few weeks, I've thought we were very near making that happen. As some of you have seen today, Arn Anderson was able to clear his schedule, and I'm appreciative of the WWE for allowing him to be a part of our weekend this August. Yes, the Enforcer WILL be in Charlotte for fanfest!!! (More on this later.)
Unfortunately though, there is bad news too. Despite all else, I just found out this evening that Ric Flair will be in Egypt during fanfest weekend and unable to participate in our events. Yeah, that was a punch to the gut.
It's hard to do a Horsemen reunion without the Nature Boy. But the show must go on. With the notion of a Horsemen reunion by the wayside, I must move forward in presenting the very best weekend that can be mustered. We have a very complex group of featured legends at fanfest this summer. Lots of rare, first-time guests. And indeed for some, it will be once-in-a-lifetime chances.
So in a continuing effort to make fanfest weekend an incredible experience, I'm happy to announce this evening that yet another Horsemen, a former World champion, and a second-generation superstar Barry Windham will be at fanfest!!! (And while I'm at it, remind folks that we deal with talent directly and not through "agents.")
When I return home next week, I'll have more details on how Arn Anderson and Barry Windham will be involved. Stay tuned for more details!
Thanks, Greg Price
