…..

My name is Ben Lewin.  I live in Taunton and work for a Medical Software company with offices in Norwood, Westwood, Framingham, Lowder Brook, Canton and Fall River.   I moonlight as a backstage agent and community relations director for a local independent professional wrestling promotion based out of Fall River called Top Rope Promotions (www.topropepromotions.com).  Top Rope Promotions (TRP) has been in the Fall River Community for 27 years and has entertained thousands of people every year with their shows.  On Saturday, October 14th, TRP held a show in Plymouth.  There were 350 people enjoying the show.  During the intermission, one of the referees, Tony Stevens, 20, from Worcester, stopped breathing.  Two wrestlers, Eric "Widowmaker" Shred (a former Marine) and Johnny "Angel" Booth and a volunteer firefighter who happened to be at the show, performed CPR and mouth to mouth until the paramedics arrived.  I was later told that Tony was dead and the three gentleman that worked on him before the EMTs arrived had indeed saved his life.  Doctors at Mass Gen.  Found Tony had a pre-existing heart condition that he was born with, but never knew about.

Former WWF and Current TNA performer Matt "Spike Dudley" Hyson was in attendance and wrote a column for one major wrestling Internet sites.  Here is a link to the article.

I think that this would make a great special interest piece and give John and Eric the recognition they deserve.  I would be more than happy to supply you with any information you need, including contact information for John, Eric, Matt Hyson, and several others that were helping backstage.  Please let me know if you would be interested in helping me to get these two real heroes the recognition they deserve.  I have also submitted their names to the local Red Cross Chapter and to the "Heroes Among Us" group of the Boston Celtics.  Thank you for your time.

With Best Regards,
