Unplugged, many announcements…

FROM THE DESK OF TOD GORDON

Overwhelmed ! Overworked ! Most importantly, Overly Excited. That's the only
way I can describe the first plus month of taking over Pro Wrestling
Unplugged. I have quite a few announcements to make today, including the
much anticipated brackets for the first ever Pitbulls/ Public Enemy Memorial
Cup.

California show
For those who missed it, I have canceled our first West Coast show as I was
extremely unhappy with the lack of professionalism and abilities of the
parties we were working with there.

DVD and MERCHANDISE SALES
If you check out our very innovative web site, www.prowrestlingunplugged.com
you will find last month's PWU 2nd anniversary show now on sale. This dvd
also includes the entire red carpet footage that took place as the wrestlers
arrived before the doors opened. We have also put together two " Best of PWU
" dvd's which showcase some of our finest matches from our first two years.
Watching these will help the fans familiarize themselves with some of the
best talent in the ring today, and also give you some insight into the "
anything can happen and anyone can show up unannounced" aspect of this
company that makes these live events so special. You will also see
interviews from many of the stars who will be performing Friday night,
October 20th at 8:00 in the event that seems to have generated the most buzz
of any of our prior shows.

A MILITARY SALUTE TO JOKER AND NEWS ON THE TOURNAMENT
All of us here at Pro Wrestling Unplugged are extremely proud of one our
newest additions, Joker. For those of you who are not aware, Joker is a
member of the United States Army. This week he was called into emergency
duty where he will be on border patrol duty. His tour will last no less than
30 days and no more than 90 days. He will be informed near the end of the
first month whether he will be able to return or whether he will be needed
for the entire 90 days. Regardless, he has all of our respect and all of our
undying thanks as he protects our country. We salute you, Joker, and your
safe return is in all of our prayers. May God bless and protect you.
This left us with an unusual situation regarding our tag tournament. We
could have just given Blackout's first round opponent a bye or  simply
thrown a " body" in the ring to be Sabian's partner. I said from day one,
that my goal is to make this promotion the fans' promotion, and we would be
as fan friendly and honest with our fans as we were when I started ECW.
With the magnitude of this tournament, and each team being legitimate tag
team specialists, we couldn't just throw someone in there, so we went out
and added a tag team that has quite a history together. I personally promise
each and every one of you that you will not only not be disappointed, but
you will see that we actually have stepped the competition up from where it
was, if that was even possible. They're already booked and committed, and in
the respect they have for both The Pitbulls and The Public Enemy have told
me that they plan on leaving with the trophy. We're going to try and keep it
a surprise, but this being wrestling, it's always possible that the
information may be leaked. If this happens, and you find out who the team
is, try to keep that information to yourself so you don't spoil the surprise
for others.

Sabien's situation
With three title matches, and seven tournament matches, there was
genuinely no room to put together some makeshift match that could possibly
have taken away from this prestigious event. Management at PWU did not feel
it was fair for Sabien to miss out on his monthly payday, and we have given
him our blessing to join CZW this weekend for their show. It's only fair to
him. Whether he decides to stay there or come back to " where the
competition is", to quote Blackout, will be a decision he will have to make
in the near future. We wish him good luck back with CZW this weekend.

THE BRACKETS
As noted in earlier press releases, we have been bombarded by requests
from wrestling media, and wrestling " wannabe" media for press credentials
to this event. It's a testament to the two teams being honored that we were
able to find what many consider the top 8 tag teams in wrestling today to
compete in their memory. So, without any further hesitation, your brackets :
    bracket a                                       Round1
        bracket b
The Briscoes
      The Backseat  Boys
The Krash Crew
   The Angus Brothers

The Outkast Killers
    All Money is Legal
Mystery surprise team
The SAT's

Three title matches will also take place that night.
1) Heavyweight Champ Devon Moore takes on Dragon Gate's Azriel
2)Hardcore Champ Corporal Robinson defends against Samoan Afa Jr.
3)Women's Champion Mercedes Martinez looks for revenge against D-Tox

This show promises to be one that will be talked about for a long time after
it ends. Reserve your seats now at www.prowrestlingunplugged.com as the
ticket advance indicates a large crowd. We know that Rocco Rock, Johnny
Grunge, and Pitbull #2 will be looking down proudly.
