….

Yesterday Mick Foley and Dawn Marie did a signing at Frank & Son Collectible Show in City of Industry, California.  The signings were put on by IPA Network.  Previously they have brought in Rob Van Dam, Gail Kim and Christy Hemme, as well as a number of other personalities from outside of wrestling.

The set up at Frank & Son is - for "major names" there is an elevated stage with stairs that allows them to control the number of people coming up, taking their order & money and prevents people from jumping in line.  In front of the stage, they also have a couple of other tables where they can set up other talent for signing while keeping similair control.  They also have a person there to take pictures as needed.  The line itself is set up to run along the front of the show and moves very efficently.

I had met both Mick and Dawn previously, so wasn't planning on getting anything signed, but knew several people who were.  I alo figured I would check back during the day to see how it was going for everyone to make a report.  We got at the show at 9:30 and the line was already a couple of hundred people (the show doors opened at 9).  Dawn was supposed to be there at 10, Mick at 10:30, with both scheduled to leave at 2.

Well, both arrived early and started right away.  Both were very friendly with everyone who came up, signing autographs and taking pictures, as well as chatting with fans as time allowed.  As the day went, myself and others kept coming back by and checking out the progress and the line never seemed to shrink, seeming to stay above a couple of hundred people all day.

To eleviate worries from people in line, it was announced fairly early on that both Dawn and Mick would stay until everyone had been taken care of.  Well, that ended up being close to 4:30 that afternoon before the last person went through.  At the end, Mick looked positvely exhausted.  However, he made sure that everyone was taken care of.  Dawn was still as bubbly at the end as she was at the begining, again making sure to greet every fan who stopped by.

From everyone who met one or both had nothing but positive things to say.  All in all, it seemed to be another good showing by the talent and the IPA staff.
