……

On Saturday, August 18th Mick Foley appeared at Pro Figures at the Kingston Mall, in Kingston MA.  Pro Figures is a brand new store at the Kingston Mall that sells Jakks toys.  Pro Figures main seller is WWE action figures and Rocky figures.  Most of the store is WWE wrestling toys and shirts.

Pro Figures set up a stage area right in front of there store for the signing.  Pro Figures announced that before the official autograph session there would be a 30 minute question and answer session.  Mick Foley was slated be appear at 2pm.  Foley arrived early, about 1:30 to 1:45pm, and was taken into the back room of the store.  Pro Figures filmed a quick television ad.  Foley was on the stage for the question and answer right on time.

Foley started the Q and A with his cheap pop “it is great to be right here in Kingston, MA”, and it got no pop.  Foley plugged the store and talked about there large amount of Rocky and WWE figure line.  You got your normal questions, what was your favorite match, what do you think of John Cena, toughest match.  Best question was “Is it true that your stole things from Chris Candido when coming up with the Mankind character?”  He said he used the cowardly, chicken heel stuff that Candido used in their feud to help build up his big Undertaker feud.  After Foley was put on the spot by an older woman to talk to her husband on a cell phone, Mick Foley ended the question and answer to start the signing.

Pro Figures sold number tickets to make the signing go by smoothly.  They would call numbers in groups of 20 to meet Mick Foley.  Autograph tickets were a reasonable $20.  Pro Figures also had a great color photo for sale for $3, Pro Figures also sold $3 Mr. Socko to be signed.

You had your normal fans getting Foley’s different books; DVD’s; figures and photo's to be signed.  One fan had a book straight from Japan that Mick Foley started to look through because he had never seen it.  Foley signed a WWF Attitude Era belt and goofed of the Cena Spinner belt.

This was the first autograph session run by Pro Figures and it was smooth and calm.  One of the best signings that has come to the Boston area in sometimes.  The owners of Pro Figures said that the Mick Foley signing was going to see how well they could do with signings.  By the time the signing official started that had over 175 tickets sold, with more people arriving.  I hope things worked out well so they could do another signing soon.

Pro Figures made this signing classy, friendly, and with no problems.  I think more people should check out this store and their signings.
