Autograph signing with photo’s…

Hi Georgie,

I thought you might like a report of the Chris Masters/Mickie James autograph signing which took place today at Landmark Chevrolet in Houston, TX. Please feel welcome to use it on wrestlingfigs.com and edit it as you wish!

The signing took place in the main showroom of a Chevrolet car dealership. The line was fairly big, but not as large as you'd expect. I guess with it being a Friday and people being in work, school, etc, that it couldn't be a huge turn out.

Anyway at 4 pm, a black limo pulled up outside and Mickie and Masters got out and came into the showroom to a big cheer from the crowd. The Masterpiece disappeared in the back, while Mickie hung out in the showroom with everybody. It was a bit surreal at first because she was just walking around like a normal customer, looking at samples and posters on the walls, checking out the cars on display, etc. Before long, the youngsters in the crowd walked up to her, and she was extremely approachable, greeting them all with big smiles and hugs. Soon people were taking pics of her, shaking her hand and chatting, and this was before the signing had even officially begun.

Once Masters came back out, they took their seats at the table and things got rolling. Mickie was really friendly to everyone. I was disappointed at first because word went along the line that you weren't allowed to take photos with the wrestlers, only autographs. When it was my turn, I shook hands with Mickie and she asked me my name. We made some small talk and she gave me an awesome personalized autographed pic, which was a nice surprise as many wrestlers these days simply scribble their name and move onto the next guy. The whole time, she looked me in the eye and never stopped smiling. I decided to test my luck and asked if I could get a pic of her, and she didn't hesitate to lean in. I was trying to take the pic myself and had my arm fully extended to take the shot, but my finger wouldn't bend to hit the button on the camera haha. Mickie goes "give it here silly", took the camera and took the pic of us. She was a blast, and loads of fans commented on how down to earth and "un-diva-ish" she was. Definitely recommended.

Masters was pretty cool too. He said he was tired from travelling all day, but was still entertaining the kids and was happy to pose for photos. He was also doing personalized autographs, so it was cool.

All in all, I was really happy. The whole thing went really smooth, Landmark had it well organized, and the wrestlers were in great spirits. It was a nice bonus to get the autographed glossy 8x10s for free too. Thanks to Mickie, Chris and everyone at Landmark and WWE for a great afternoon!
