" I'm really enjoying Jim Cornette's Midnight Express 25th Anniversery Scrapbook. I always felt like there was more room in the world of wrestling literature for something a little different, and this book is far different than anything else I've seen out there. Corny is a classic collector, a trait I would find a little compulsive if not for all the cool stuff he managed to hang onto to share with us. Photos, programs, unique letters from fans, even his payoff sheets. And of course there's the stories, told as only Jim Cornette can tell them. I give this book a BIG thumbs up." -Mick Foley
On Jim Cornette's new book: Jim Cornette and Tim Ash have put together one of the finest, full color wrestling books that I have ever dreamed of reading. It's entitled, "The Midnight Express and Jim Cornette 25th Anniversary Scrapbook" which features HUNDREDS of full color photos, stories of the road in amazing detail, pay stubs, DAILY documentation of MX's amazing career in ALL the territories including the outcome and intriguing details of 100's of matches with which they competed, and without question as detailed information as ANY wrestling book that I have ever seen in my life. If you are an old school wrestling fan, this book is a "MUST READ" and I rarely use those terms and this is not hyperbole. This book is amazingly unique and any one who considers themselves to be a fan of the genre, past or present should check this one out. I am under the understanding that orders can be accepted as of April 24 at Jim Cornette.com and autographed copies by JC, Dennis Condrey, Bobby Eaton, and Stan Lane will be available too....while they last. Do not delay on this one or you will regret it. It has taken over one year to make this book happen with the help of Tim Ash. I can't wait to get my copy. "First as of April 24th there will be a web site called www.jimcornette.com and at that site you can purchase a book that I already have in my hot little hands and can tell you it is historical, informative, and entertaining; along with probably having some information not found anywhere else. This 81/2 x 11 sized volume is titled “The Midnight Express and Jim Cornette 25th Anniversary Scrapbook” and is compiled by Cornette along with Tim Ash. The book is around 225 pages packed full of interesting and insightful facts from the king of rants himself. It would take me an entire column to list all the things of interest such as notes from the road with results, and payoff figures. Jim’s thoughts and musings about certain historical situations that involved the Midnights and even poison pen letters written by hateful fans that “Corney” has collected over the years; plus plenty of photos. I truly don’t believe there is another book like it out there and if you order one of the first 250 copies you can get a numbered issue autographed by Jim, and all three of the former tag partners, Bobby Eaton, Dennis Condrey, and Stan Lane.
