04/07 Birthday...

Miguel Perez Sr., one-half of the tag team attraction at Madison Square Garden in the late 50s was found dead this morning in Puerto Rico.

Perez and  Antonino (Tony) Rocca were a top Tag Team for Vince McMahon Sr.  They were his World tag team champions, taking the belts from Wildman Jackie Fargo and Don Stevens (later Don Fargo) on March 30, 1957 at the Garden.

Rocca and Perez were a very popular tag team in the 60's.  I used to love watching them wrestle at Sunnyside Gardens, NY.  I will see if I can find some more pictures and programs with them on it.
