…….

Hey George,

When I first saw this "WWE Biggest Fan" contest posted on WrestlingFigs.com, I just knew they were talking about someone like me.  I quickly signed up to the site and saw only a handful of videos that seriously did not prove anything.  I planned out my video, I got out all the Wrestling Figures (keep in mind I have every LJN, Hasbro, Jakks BCA figure on card), magazines, t-shirts, videos (Once again, every episode of Primetime, Superstars, Monday Night Raw, Wrestling Challenge, etc.), ticket stubs and pictures of wrestlers in their prime (personally I think that is more meaningful than seeing them at these conventions).  So sure I have the collection to prove I'm an extreme wrestling fan but what makes truly makes you WWE's BIGGEST wrestling fan?  One word...KNOWLEDGE.  I guarantee you I could name every match on from Wrestlemania 1-15, recaps of all other PPV's from the 80's and 90's, and statistics of wrestlers (whether it be weight, height, hometown).  When I was a child, wrestling was strictly my life.  All that childhood knowledge has stuck with me throughout the years and I will never forget what I WAS so into 15 years ago.   So what's the reason why I didn't enter the contest?  I'm ashamed of what WWE is today and I don't want to be represented as WWE's biggest fan, but more so WWF's biggest fan.  It's just not what it used to be and I really don't watch it anymore unless wrestlers from the earlier days come back.  Sure there was a lot of money granted to the winner but that wasn't the whole point of it to me.  I also thought it would be based on who is the biggest fan of today's product rather than the 80's and 90's.

Once the contest was over, I watched all finalists videos and I think It was fairly judged.  I don't believe impersonations render you as an extreme WWE fan, but to each their own.  I'm surprised that more of the contestants didn't understand that production would play a huge part in this.  Sure they want to have a glimpse of how big of a fan you are but it's mostly creativity.  Who wants to watch a video on the titantron that only consists of your merchandise?  Not me, I can just look in my basement.  I want to see the guy that really thought about it and could make me laugh or pop some kind of emotion out of me.  I think I enjoyed the winners video so much because it was very close to the idea I had and I really wanted to see it be perfected...and so it was.  These are just my two cents but I hope all of you can chill out and realize there are plenty of manic wrestling fans out there who didn't need to enter this contest to prove to themselves that they are the biggest WWE/WWF fan.

Hi Georgie!

Since Randy Orton seems to be the hot topic, I thought I'd throw in my two cents.  I've only met Randy once at a signing two years ago before his SummerSlam match with The Undertaker.  He was about an hour and a half minutes late due to traffic but once he got there he apologized to the crowd and said that he stay over to make sure everyone got an autograph.  I don't know if Randy did that because I didn't hang around for the whole signing but he was nice to me and I got an extra pic with him with my camera in addition to the polaroid.  Hearing all the stories about him, I guess I got him on a good day.

Out of all the wrestlers I've met, Lex Luger was probably the only one that rubbed me the wrong way but everyone else have been great.

Hi Georgie,

I usually just read this stuff and never get involved but I have to put in my 2 cents in on this. Just like everyone else people have good days and bad days. The people that say Sabu is a jerk are just nuts. I have met him over a dozen times and yes he is quite but he is always there for his fans, he actually gave my son a pair of his pants that he wrestled in. Kevin Nash is another who is quite and private but has always stopped and has taken pictures. Dusty Rhodes was a sweetheart. Goldberg was also very sweet. I have never had a bad experience with anyone, Ric Flair did stop and take pictures with us but I have seen him be rude to people. I met Randy Orton and we talked for 10 minutes and was so nice but that was a few years ago. But like I say people have good days and bad. You have to remember they are killing themselves everyday wrestling, they do not really get time off and are tired, so it is understandable that they are short with people at times. But I have met over 200 in my life and really can’t say anything bad about them. There is one person who was rude all the time I saw him but he has passed away and I do not want to talk about someone who has passed away. The next time you see these wrestlers give them a break, don’t run up to them when they are in a restaurant eating, or they are on the phone. People don’t give them a chance to breathe they are constantly following them around in restaurants and hotels. Maybe if you give them a break they will give you one.

Thanks    JP

Hi my name is Emma, I would like to express my thoughts. on the WWE Biggest Fan. Contest.. i have known Ashley for most of her life.. she started being a fan since she was 6 months old.. she would watch Wrestling every sat &sun.so when the idea for this contest came up.. i knew she would have a chance at being a finalist. .. i mean she *EATS ,SLEEPS, BREATH'S WRESTLING* she has a quite of collection of stuff i mean not alot like everyone else but she has her stuff. she loves wrestling so much she even went as far as join a wrestling school just be a Ref if that is not dedication i don't know what is. But i was there the weekend of Summer Slam i was her guest..i saw everything that went down. it wasn't very pretty from the judging of the video's i mean  Dave Batista is just plain-ass rude. he had nothing nice to say too the girls.. he made both of them cry.. Stone cold was great. & John Cena well i get too him in a min. i saw all the video's myself.. I did see John's video the 2nd runner up.. first of all he didn't explain why he was the biggest fan all he did was i have this & that . nothing. u can all the merchandise in the world it doesn't mean your the biggest fan. it means that you collect alot of stuff. & there was no way everyone was shouting his name.. if any it was his family screaming for him. i didn't hear any loud pops for him just his family. shouting which is fine .. i don't see anything wrong with that.. you need family support on this.. however i saw the other video's as well i do have too agree with who the WWE pick as the grand prize winner.. his video was awesome. it had all the requirements it needed. so yeah i was sold on it..  what i wasn't sold on was the rudeness of the Wrestlers.. certain ones. for John too say he was screwed i don't think so.. he got 2nd place. i am sure the rest of the contestants would have loved to be in his shoes.. so quit complaining .. the contest ended.. so we decided to go upstairs.. Ashley got 2 pics. one with Bobby Lashley. who is an awesome guy as well as wrestler. very laid-back & courteous. She was about too take a pic with Dave Batista but she saw John Cena instead.. she was too hell with you Dave. you were an asshole to me.. so she went up John Cena & very nicely ask him for a picture. he said sure. he also told her he was sorry she didn't win but good try.. thank you for coming all this way.. so i took the pic of John & Ashley.. We left for the W hotel. as we were walking Ashley was very upset.. i told her don't worry you were awesome. look it took alot of guts to go against 13 guys &1 girl think about how she feels too. as we walked into the lobby.we saw Stone Cold , Bobby Lashley, Krystal, Jimmy Hart walked in later.. what a sweetheart Jimmy is i would recommend him to attend any kind of signings .he's a true gentleman.. so i decided to take Ash's pic with Stone Cold & Krystal again both were gems. no problem.. i also took a pic with them i figure i get a souvenir too. Ashley told me hey i am gonna upstairs & get comfy shoes my feet hurt i said sure go ahead. she turn around & left. i went after her because i forgot to give her the key.. & around the Corner. she sees John Cena.. she stopped smiled & wave too him & said John how are you doing.. boy wrong time to talk too him.. i saw him giver the dirty look from hell & pushed her .. now John Cena wasn't *DRUNK* either he just pushed her for no reason. she didn't give him any motive for it. at she was very nice & courteous. that hurt Ashley because She has been his fan since the very beginning before he was in the WWE. she decided to go upstairs & stay there for the rest of the night.. all i am saying Wrestler don't have a right to push anyone period. if your having a bad day just say *PLEASE EXCUSE ME RIGHT NOW ITS NOT A GOOD TIME FOR ME .. IF YOU GIVE A FEW MIN'S I WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TOO TALK TO YOU.* don't take out your anger on anyone else.. as far the Contest goes. did I think it was a Joke. No. if they had different judges. like maybe WWE Legends judging it. because i am sure they would have done a better job.. This guy comes out & says he's not a sore loser. well if your not a sore loser why did you seat in the 3rd row away from the group?? what the seats were not good enough? hey we all had a fun time laughing & making new friends John was the only one acting "STUCK -UP" YOU COULD SEE IT.

Well since so many of you have given us your opinions of wrestlers, I wanted to add some of mine.  I have never met any wrestler that wasn't friendly or anything but nice.  I guess I was lucky being so involved in wrestling, it gave me the opportunity to be close to the wrestling community.  Some of my best friends are wrestlers, which include Bruno Sammartino, Chris Ford (Crowbar) and Marc Mero, among others.  I wasn't one to collect autographs, but I loved having my picture taken with the wrestlers, as I'm sure so many of you do.  But my suggestion also is give the wrestlers some space.  Don't be pushy, don't bother them while they are eating, don't follow them to the bathroom, etc.

I will never forget one time in Boston, a fan followed Bobby Heenan into the bathroom while eating a hot dog, Bobby came out screaming, "can't I take a pee without you following me.  Do you want me to pee in your frank!!"  Now that was going to far, and that fan deserved Bobby's anger.  My suggestion to everyone is be RESPECTFUL, as you want them to respect you.  I have seen some of the wrestlers really getting pissed off, but they were provoked.

Also we used to all hang out at the JetPort in New Jersey, what fun we had there.  I really miss those days.  We were one happy family, all mingling together.  Lots of times we gave the wrestlers a ride back to the hotel from Madison Square Garden.  I will never forget one night when we had Owen Hart and The Anvil in the car.  We start driving up to the toll, and Owen says, "Let me tell them, I am Owen Hart, the King of Hearts and you shouldn't have to pay the toll."   Well, low and behold, he did it, and the toll taker was laughing like crazy, as he was a wrestling fan.  But guess what, Owen gave me the money to pay the toll.  LOL

I could tell you stories all day long, but instead I will share some of my photo's with you.  As you will see I did get a huge hug from one of my all time favorites, The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels.  He still rocks in the ring, and is missed terribly.  He should be coming back soon, I hope.  I made a miracle happen at one of John Arezzi's Conventions.  I actually got Bruno Sammartino and Buddy Rogers to pose for a picture with me.  They truly didn't like each other in or out of the ring.   I was so happy that Mike Lano took a picture of me with Kerry Von Erich as he died shortly after that.  A very special photo of myself with Vince & Linda McMahon at Titan Towers along with Commissioner Josie and Bobby Riedel's grandfather.  Bobby Riedel and his Mom were also there, just not in the photo.  We were invited there by the McMahon's and had a really good time.  I was also able to have my artist Pete Theophall invited back at another time, he was thrilled for the tour.  They had asked us to view some tapes and give our opinions.  I have such fond memories that will never be forgotten.  Thanks for allowing me my walk down Memory Lane.
