Needless to say, the dinner on Friday was superb! It was my first time meeting Bruno and he was of course, quite gracious. 

 

Last June the Ultimate Warrior, while preparing for his 6/25/08 return to the ring, had a contest on his website challenging people to write something motivational.  That got me immediately thinking about Bruno and I started writing.  The contest was over within a week or so, but I was far from finished. I finally finished it in October.  I then took what I wrote and fashioned it into a championship belt and prepared it myself at Kinkos copy place.  My thought was to give it to Bruno at the dinner when I met him.  However, I felt to email it to Dan Haney at the WWWA and mentioned that I'd be happy to contribute it during the dinner if they wanted, otherwise, I'd just give it to Bruno on a one on one basis.  After emailing it to Dan he called me and said they would be fine with having it presented as a tribute to Bruno.  Long story short, I presented to Bruno.

 

Anyway, here is a pic of me with Bruno (you can see my belt in the background) which was previously sent to you by another person who attended the dinner. During the dinnertime I went around to each table and have everyone sign the back of it so everyone could have a part in giving it to Bruno.  Also attached is the presentation itself.

 

One thing I never mentioned (that I should add to the tribute) is that Bruno has much power to get people's attention and he ALWAYS uses it properly.  Other wrestlers and celebrities have the same power but when they are in the spotlight, they promote degenerate behavior which essentially disrespects those who observe it.  With Bruno, if you give him your attention or time, you will feel like you've just been honored by what he says or does (rather than disrespected).  This was definitely my experience on Friday (and Saturday too at the autograph signing at Carson's in Allentown) and as I watch any DVD interviews Bruno does.  Overall, I would say Bruno brings out the goodness in everyone and it is hard to say who honors who more at these times with Bruno, us honoring Bruno or Bruno honoring us.
