MORE THOUGHTS OF EDDIE GUERRERO

Just updated again….

You have to watch the above video on WWE.com of Eddie winning the title from Brock Lesnar.  That frog splash at end of match, gave me goose bumps and of course tears, to know we will never see Eddie in the ring again.   Georgiann

Georgie,  As I write this  I am still in shock and disbelief.  I live in  Minneapolis so I knew they were  in town. when my husband saw the article as breaking news on  a wrestling site, I couldn't believe it
I even thought maybe someone was playing a cruel joke or that the board had been hacked into. then  upon going the WCCO website I saw the news on there as well and I realized it was true.

I almost broke down when I watched the press conference..  I am still in shock.. I feel like this poem sums up how all of his fans feel right now:

"God looked around his garden, and found an emote place.
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.
He put his arms around you, and lifted you to rest.
His garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He whispered to you "Peace Be Thine" and gave you wings to fly.
You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide,
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone--
For part of us went with you, on the day God called you home."

My deepest condolences to Eddie's family, Hector, Mando, and Chavo, Sr. to his sisters and his mother, to Chavo, Jr ..but especially to his wife Vickie and their three young daughters during this trying time.

To his wrestling family , I also send my deepest sympathies on the loss of their friend and "brother" during this trying time. May they find comfort in knowing that Eddie will always be watching over them.

May God's grace bless them all during this difficult time.

Knowing that Eddie was clean and sober and that he had become a "born again Christian"  is comforting, as I am sure he is heaven now  reunited with his father and  all of his wrestling "brothers" that have gone before him and I am betting that the first  person he saw  when he came through the "pearly gates" was his friend Art Barr waiting for him.
I'd like to end my memories of Eddie with this:

PSALM  23
=========
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
In verdant pastures he gives me repose;
Beside restful waters he leads me;
he refreshes my soul.

He guides me in right paths
for  his name's sake.
Even though I walk in the dark valley
I fear no evil; for you are at my side
With your rod and your staff
that give me courage.

You spread the table before me
in the sight of my foes;
You anoint me with oil;
my cup overflows.

Only goodness and kindness follow me
all the days of my life;
and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD
for years to come.

May Eddie Rest In Peace

Hi. I'm Nick, and I'm 16 yrs. old. I just wanted to say that I am very upset about Eddies passing and wish the best for his family. I was really looking forward to him going after the WWE title at tonight's tapings and teaming up with Rey Mysterio again at Survivor
Series as part of the 10 man tag team match. I am proud to say that I got to see Eddies last PPV, No Mercy, last month and I'm glad that my mom drove me and my friend 4 hours to go see the PPV. It was very special to met because it was on Eddies birthday and the whole crowd sang Happy Birthday to him and my birthday is the day after his, October 10.
God Bless Eddie Guerrero.
He is gone, but never forgotten.

Hey,my name is Michael Slaughenhoupt,also known as mappoine and I would like to give my thoughts on Eddie Guerrero.
He was a great wrestler.he was funny and had a lot of talent,which some of these wrestlers don't.He had a lot of hard times in his life that he has dealt with, but this was the big one of them all.  When I heard that he died, I thought it was a prank.  I went on wwe.com and saw that he had really died,i was so sad.  I called all my friends who like wrestling and I told them.They couldn't believe it either.he was just on TV Friday and now he is gone.  He was going to be in a WWE world title match with Batista and Randy Orton, but now he is not.  My favorite moment was when he won the WWE championship.  He was a man who deserved it and was a great champion.  I will always remember him and I hope his family is all right.He was the real champ,he was Latino Heat.

I would like to send my Condolences to the family of Eddie Guerrero, you will be missed, your latino heat Lie cheating and stealing will live on forever, Rest in peace Eddie and may God watch over you and your family and friends during these hard times, God bless.    Keith Fradella

Since you want some thoughts I have some:
Eddie had a sad life, drugs, depression and even huge blood loss. Sadly I had only seen Eddie once and that was when he had the ladder match versus Rob Van Dam. I am quite sad about how he died also heart failure means steroids and I am quite sad just writing this.

It's a very dark day for professional wrestling. Losing an all time great like Eddie Guerrero was a huge shock. I was just watching his match with my nephew, when he wrestled Ken Kennedy. Eddie brought so much fun, laughter, and enjoyment to wwe. Eddie was a great athlete and
entertainer. Smackdown wont be the same without his energetic entrances and his low rider. When I first read what happened, I wanted so badly to believe it was part of a story line for WWE, but sadly its not. When my nephew first started watching wrestling, Eddie was his favorite, he
would run all over the house and say "viva la raza". Eddie truly turned his life around for the better by overcoming addictions to win the wwe championship and defend the title at Wrestlemania 21. Not many wrestlers can say they held championships in ECW, WCW, and WWE.
Although Eddie has gone to a special place, he will always hold a special place in professional wrestling and in the hearts and minds of many wrestling fans. In memory of a man who truly went out on top and over came addictions to better his life personally and professionally, In loving memory of Eddie Guerrero. May his spirit forever live on inside the squared circle.

 Eddie you have given us so much through out the years. You had the passion, the desire, and the love for wrestling. From ECW to WCW, to WWE, Eddie you made wrestling seem that much better. You were a great athlete and a great wrestler. The wrestling world is so sadden that your gone, I am still trying grasp the fact that you’re gone. It seems that all my favorites are passing away. Eddie, God took you too early from us. We will all miss you. Rest in Peace, Eddie. Viva La Raza

I never met Eddie but I can say I was a big fan. His passion for the wrestling business and his love for his family was always shown. His life was so amazing and went through hell and back. Most men in his situation would give up but he never did. One of the first thoughts I had  was Chris Candidio. They both had to get rid of their demons and they both came back
to what they loved and had a great comeback but both tragically died.

He will be missed by all wrestling fans.  From:  Garrett
I would just like to say I had the pleasure of meeting Eddie Guerrero at the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at Wrestlemania 20 at MSG in NYC. He was one of the nicest wwe superstars I have ever met. I was so shocked to hear the news of his sudden passing. He was a GREAT man and an AWESOME WWE SUPERSTAR !! I will surely miss his presence in the ring. He always had me laughing when he would cheat by throwing a chair into his opponent's hands as if they were going to hit him. Eddie was one of a kind and I will surely miss him. Please send my best to his wife, children and the rest of his family. LATINO HEAT R.I.P.~~~Love, KELLY from Long Island, NY

I still am in total shock...I cannot believe what I woke up too. I woke up today around 10.00 AM getting ready for work and I come onto the computer real quick. And I see Eddie Guerrero has passed away. So I tell myself ok this guy is a total jerk for playing around writing this.. I click it and what do you know there it is, a true story.. Eddie was 1 of my favorite wrestlers as he playes such a good role. He was going to take the belt from Batista. In my mind im still asking myself why would or what the hell could of happen for this to occur. Well Eddie man I love you to death man Viva La Raza.I love you man, you will never be forgotten.
Ashes To Ashes Dust To Dust Eddie you will be missed all day everyday.
Ps.From Eddies #1 fan,   Chris

Optimus Prime:
Just like everyone else I am shocked and saddened by
the death of Eddie.  He was one hell of a superstar
and human being.  I was happy that he overcame his
personal demons and continued his career and won the
WWE championship.  I'm also happy I got to witness him
in action in all three of the live events I attended.
The wrestling world will definately not be the same
without you dude.  Your memory will live on and I will
always appreciate your contributions to wrestling.
You're in a better place now Eddie, so have a great
time.

Georgie,    I have many great memories of Eddie, both on WWE shows, and more even as a person, having met him several times. The one that stands out is after a show in Poughkeepsie, NY, the Smackdown crew went to a local diner, that I was also at. Eddie was sitting with Chavo and Chris Benoit. After they finished their meal, we asked if it was ok for them to sign autographs. They all agreed and signed for us. Following that, Eddie was joking around with the fans in the parking lot saying "esse" and "latino heat," etc. He was very down to earth and personable. Eddie was always friendly and upbeat at autograph signings as well as walking in and out of the arenas. He will be missed. From:  Mike

Eddie was a good guy, and very intense at times.  I met him just as he was getting his life back on track, it was the day or day after he resigned with WWE.  He worked for WWA New England as his last independent show.  We've had a lot of the different stars, many of which had bad attitudes but not Eddie for me.  He even came out to ringside to watch some new kid that had never been in a ring before take his first instruction, he offered advice as well as support.  That night he put on a hell of a show even though he didn't need to, He did it cause he loved wrestling and he loved his fans.  I will miss Eddie, I'm glad that i had that chance to meet him, talk to him without the whole "Uncle Eddie" persona, he was just a regular guy with demons.
