Secaucus, NJ - November 30, 2005 - - MSNBC's "Rita Cosby: Live and Direct," will be the only national network program to travel to Afghanistan with Armed Forces Entertainment and World Wrestling Entertainment for the their third annual tribute tour.  In a special two-part broadcast, Cosby will examine the daily life of US troops on active duty in Afghanistan as they fight the war on terrorism, and she will chronicle the WWE's overseas tour.  The special "Rita Cosby: Live and Direct" will air Wednesday, December 7, and Thursday, December 8, 2005 at 9 p.m. ET.
 
"Rita Cosby: Live and Direct" will take a behind-the-scenes look at the WWE's overseas holiday tour, hosted by Armed Forces Entertainment, and its "WWE's Tribute to the Troops" special, which is a live-to-tape performance of Monday Night RAW(r) in Afghanistan with the World Wrestling Entertainment Superstars and WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.  Cosby will show viewers how the special is produced, and she will profile the WWE wrestlers and entertainers.  She will highlight the "in-the-ring" persona of the wrestlers balanced with their behind-the-scenes interactions with the US troops.
 
During the two-part broadcast, Cosby will interview US military personnel and get their first-person accounts of life in active duty in Afghanistan.  She'll visit troops at the forward locations across Afghanistan where they continue to carry out their mission as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. 
 
The "WWE's Tribute to the Troops" special will air exclusively on USA Network on Monday, December 19, 2005, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT). 
 
"Rita Cosby: Live and Direct" airs weeknights at 9 p.m. ET on MSNBC.  Angie Dorr is the executive producer.
