Here are some of the highlights of Nancy's exclusive interview, provided by The Mayhem's official correspondent, Paterson From New Jersey:
Nancy was the special celebrity guest interviewer at SummerSlam for "The Biggest Party Of The Summer," just several short days ago at The Staples Center. Mosh asked about her WWE experience, as well as her feelings on all the events that led up to SummerSlam & everything before the event. "It was so much fun, and the thing that so many don't know about the WWE is such a charitable organization. In fact, the way I became involved in the WWE is because I was doing an interview for Access Hollywood, and I was interviewing John Cena & Jenny McCarthy because they were teaming up with her to raise awareness about Autism. And I was talking to them about that, and because my boy is such a huge fan, I became friends with their PR people, and asked if there was anyway they could get him backstage to meet all the superstars & stuff. So, we became friends, and I starting coming to the events, and one thing led to another, and they approached me knowing I was going to be forming this foundation in honor of my mom called 'Betty's Battle' (Nancy mom's passed away of Lou Gehrig's Disease/ALS). They are helping raise awareness which could help raise funds & help find a cure."
With such a perfect match between World Wrestling Entertainment & O'Dell's charity, her Guest Hosting Monday Night RAW in the weeks ahead could raise the profile of Betty's Battle even more. Of course, nothing has been officially announced yet (in terms of the confirmed date), so The Mayhem wanted to when she will be following in the footsteps of Shaquille O'Neal & Jeremy Piven. "I did call SummerSlam SummerSlam...I can't wait to see Jeremy next time & give him a hard time. But I am excited, I am going to be one of the hosts. That is definitely confirmed, and we are still firming exactly what state it's going to be. I am excited about that & about the WWE helping me raise awareness for this charity, which a lot of people have realized that the WWE has great fans. They're very loyal, and they're so into WWE for what WWE does, and I think it's so wonderful that the WWE realized the platform they have, taking on these charitable causes, & helping promote something that need to be promoted."
Nancy was definitely rubbing elbows with several WWE superstars during the SummerSlam Pay-Per-View. "The two I talked to the most was The Big Show & Randy Orton. Big Show, because he is from South Carolina, and we were having a great time, because I was on the red carpet, and I was being asked by the WWE how this premiere for SummerSlam compared to a Hollywood movie. And I said I don't know, let's see Big Show do a fashion turn. And he proceeded to do a fabulous fashion turn I have ever seen. And I talked to Randy Orton & his wife, who are the sweetest people. I'm like why you gotta be so mean in the ring." She went today that she spoke to a lot of the wrestlers including Triple H, who was teaching her how to perform a bodyslam.
Nancy's preparation for guest-hosting RAW was brought up, and The Mayhem Crew asked what Nancy is doing to get ready for job. I'm working out trying to get my muscles stronger so that I could do the bodyslam that Triple H teaches me. My goal is to be able to bodyslam The Big Show." Since this started, RAW's Guest Hosts as been getting major traction in promoting the vehicles the are promoting on the show. "By having a Shaq on, or having a Jeremy Piven, the outlets are covering it in a different way. When I was covering Mickey Rourke, we were talking on Access Hollywood, he was talking about coming in the ring. That kinda started the celebrity trend. I think celebrities are smart to do it."
