NWS events Wednesday on the Beach in Wildwood

The third show of the week was another success for National Wrestling Superstars, this time on Saturday night, July 9th at the Pemberton Baseball Athletic Association field in Pemberton, NJ, where the crowd cheered their heroes and booed the heels right from the opening bout.

The first match of the night saw Tommy Force def Nicky Oceans to retain his Jersey Shore championship belt.  Oceans told the fans that he was walking out of Pemberton as the champion, but Force had other ideas and the two athletes awed the crowd with nearly 14 minutes of back and forth action before Oceans missed a dive off the top rope and Force rolled him up for the pin and the win.

The second match was another in a series of matches between two big men, former NWS champion TNT and Hasheem Ali, who was accompanied to ringside by Dame Dapper Falco and Saddam Insane. When TNT protested, NWS officials not only escorted Insane away from the ringside area, but put him inside a dug-out telling fans "the animal has been caged".  The two definitely had their wrestling game on as they went almost 12 minutes before Falco hit TNT with a low blow.  As he went after her, Insane escaped from the cage and it was a 3 on 1 before The Patriot made the save.  The referee threw the match out ruling it a double disqualification. NWS officials then set up a match between The Patriot and Saddam Insane for later on in the evening.

The next bout was an NWS title bout as tag champions Los Diablos Locos (Fierce Fuego and Antonio Malave) put out an open challenge for anyone in the locker room to form a team and "come get the belts" (at least that's what it sounded like through their broken English).  Two wrestlers, JD Smooth and Problem Child accepted the challenge and despite no record of ever having teamed before, provided the champions with a hard night as the speed of Smooth and the antics of Problem Child had the fans on their feet and nearly stole the titles from the champions.  Toward the end of the match, Malave missed a moonsault (he slipped off the middle rope which was wet) and when Problem Child went for the cover, Fuego hit him with a Tornado DDT and scored the pinfall.

Next was the first of two main events as The Patriot took on former NWS champion Saddam Insane. Insane, who was accompanied to ringside by Dame Dapper, used his size and girth to attack the Patriot at the start of the match, but America's hero came back and pulled Insane's shorts a tug and forced the material between his cheeks (see the pictures when they hit the NWS website) and spanked him. This infuriated the former champion and with the help of Falco and a chain, scored a pin on The Patriot.  Despite fans claiming he had a weapon, the referee refused to do anything, saying he didn't see anything.  Then former WWE champion Tito Santana came to ringside and told the referee, who at that point, re-started the match and The Patriot rolled up Saddam Insane giving America's hero the victory.

After intermission, two relative new-comers to NWS rings, Nick Berk (fresh off an unsuccessful Mater Lock Challenge on a recent WWE event) take on Billy Bax (who appeared at NWS' recent Extreme Style Wrestling Event).  These two had fans on the edges of their seats and brought their hard-hitting style of wrestling to a new level.  In the end, Berk was able to pin Bax using the ropes for leverage.

The final bout of the night was a former WWE legends match pitting hall of fame star Tito Santana against Sal Sincere.  Sincere entered the ring telling fans it was his birthday and that he should not have to wrestle and in fact, asked one ringside fan to pass his hat around to take up a collection for his birthday.  While this was going on, Santana entered the ring and the two spent nearly 8 minutes arguing about who was the bigger star (very amusing).  Once they managed to start the match, Sincere, using his arrogance and cunning (plus the help of Dame Dapper as his manager), looked like he would steal a victory from Santana. At the end, Sincere had Falco hold Santana and went to hit him, but Santana escaped at the last second, causing Sincere to hit Dame Dapper.  While he was apologizing, Santana rolled him  up for the pin and the win.

Next NWS events Wednesday on the beach in Wildwood (two shows) then Saturday in Allentown, PA at Tilghman Square Mall.
