  • Press Release

……

Oh what a difference 24 hours can make. On Friday, NWS turned away people at their SRO Belleville, NJ event and on Saturday, the VFW Hall in Bergenfield was only half full. Guess the fact that several Bergen County high school football teams were playing the state championships at the Meadowlands didn't help, but as the saying goes, the show must go on...and it did with a fantastic night of wrestling NWS style

Quick results

Women's Bout
Jana def Roxxy Cotton

3 Way Dance
Josh Pierce def Blade Michaels & JD Smooth

Tag Team Action

NWS New Jersey Heavyweight title bout
Vicious Vinny retained his title over Indian Brave Draven. After the bout, while Vinny was celebrating in the ring, Draven, Julio Dinero and Danny Doring attacked Vinny. While this was going on, Vinny was holding the belt and when Draven kicked him, Vinny hit his head on the "10 pounds of gold", which actually looked like it was cracked (the belt, not Vinny's head)

Singles bout
Pastor George def Antonio Malave

Main Event Tag Team Match
The Clown & Goal-Duh (managed by Johnny Diamond) def Danny Doring & Julio Dinero (managed by King Du I Stinq)

Before the main event, Julio Dinero challenged The Clown and Goal-Duh to a dance off. Julio went first, then the Clown, Goal-Duh, Commissioner Gino Moore, Johnny Diamond and The Iron Sheik all danced to the delight of the crowd, giving the faces the win in the Dance Off. The line of the night, coming from Johnny Falco after seeing The Clown and his friends dancing was "I just got off the phone from the WWE in Stamford. I was told that after that performance, Vince McMahon Sr. was rolling over in his grave" Big pop from the crowd.
