…..

With regret I will be leaving my “family” at World Wrestling Entertainment in July.  With excitement,  I look forward to new opportunities, both professionally and personally.  With gratitude, I value my 20+ years with WWE, and the many friendships that have flourished as a result.

I am offering my new contact information (both below, and attached), with the hope that I will continue to maintain contact with friends, colleagues, and business associates.

To quote some lines from my favorite poem “Road not Taken” by Robert Frost (a poem that Miss Snow made us memorize in 7th grade):

“Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could…

    “Then took the other…

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I…

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.”

Here’s to “the road”!

With regards and respect,

This was the official press release for information of Bob Collins departure from World Wrestling Entertainment.

But I would also like to share a personal letter I received from Bob, who will be greatly missed by all of us.

Bob, much success on your future endeavors, and I will be keeping in touch.

Georgiann,

Thank you so much for your kind note(s).  I didn’t realize that my departure from WWE would be noticed except by my closest colleagues in the office.  I am very sad to be leaving World Wrestling Entertainment; but, after 20 years (and 21 WrestleManias) I just knew that it was time to say “good-bye”.  I have loved my work, and am very fortunate to have enjoyed more than two decades with Vince and Linda McMahon (both of whom I idolize), their family, and the extended WWE “family”.

Along the way, I have met so many wonderful people:  The dedicated and truly gifted WWE SuperStars, arena and stadium personnel, reporters and radio personalities and ticket sellers and hotel managers and ushers and sponsors and media sales people… and so many, many dedicated fans whose passion for WWE far surpasses anything that I could offer.   As a result of the opportunities afforded by WWE, I have now have friends throughout North America and around-the-world; and, I am grateful.

Although I’m not certain what my next step will be, I do plan to travel over the course of the summer, and then I hope to find or develop some challenging promotional projects in the entertainment field.  Who knows: such a project might even bring me back to WWE periodically?

I am a very fortunate person; and, the fact that I received such a nice note from you is indicative of the personal and professional relationships that have been my pleasure and my honor for so many years.

Your thoughtfulness is much appreciated!

Respectfully,    Bob Collins
