Ric Flair Headlines “Rumble in Rockland”
WWE Hall of Famer Highlights Star-Studded Event
(POMONA, NY) – On Saturday, July 30, Northeast Wrestling presents “Rumble in Rockland” at Provident Bank Park. Headlined by WWE Hall of Famer, the Nature Boy, Ric Flair, gates will open at 3:00pm with a meet & greet from 3:30pm – 6:30pm before wrestling gets under way at 7:00pm on the field.
Flair is a two-time Hall of Famer and 16-time World Heavyweight Champion. After being inducted solely in 2008, he was inducted as part of The Four Horsemen in 2012. He now appears on WWE with his daughter, Diva’s Champion, Charlotte.
A five-time WCW World Heavyweight Champ, and former WWE Heavyweight Champion, Booker T will join the card as well. Booker T won 21 titles with WCW, the most of any wrestler in that promotion, including 11 tag-team titles as part of the duo, Harlem Heat. Inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013, he is now a color commentator for WWE’s Monday Night RAW pre-show.
One of the more exciting tag team duos of all-time, Matt and Jeff Hardy, the Hardy Boyz, will also be in action at Provident Bank Park. They won eight Tag Team championships and built a loyal fan base due to their extreme performances in Tables, Ladders, and Chairs matches as well as ladder matches. They will be competing in solo matches as part of the eight-match card.
Also a part of the “Rumble in Rockland” will be Jerry “The King” Lawler, a 2007 WWE Hall of Fame inductee. Lawler has held more championships than any other current WWE wrestler, despite never winning a title in the WWE. He currently serves as a color commentator for WWE’s SmackDown and all Pay-Per-View event kickoff shows. Throughout his Hall of Fame career, he has met and defeated such wrestlers as Hulk Hogan and Bret “the Hitman” Hart, and will be performing in the ring that night.
Tickets will go on-sale to the general public on Friday, March 11 at 10:00 am with Rockland Boulders season ticket holders being able to partake in a special pre-sale beginning on Wednesday, March 9. Prices range from $20 to $35 for stadium seating and $55 to $75 for “Silver” and “Golden” on-field seats. Fans will have the option to purchase meet & greet opportunities on the day of the event or in advance at www.northeastwrestling.com while those who purchase the limited available “Golden” seats will receive early admission to the meet & greet.
