Northeast Wrestling
Saturday – November 3
In Scranton, PA
At the Lackawanna College Student Union
Electric City Slam”

Doors open for Northeast Wrestling’s fan fair just after 4:30 pm.  At the signing were 12 time World Champion Kurt Angle, WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler, TNA Knock out Talia Madison, Christian Cage, Samoa Joe, one half of the TNA tag team Champions AJ Styles, Former WWE Champion and WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter, and former WWE Star “Heart Throb” Romeo Roselli.

Kurt Angle was real quiet.  He had his TNA promos and the TNA Turning Point PPV promo.  Kurt Angle also signed what ever people had.  The prices were real fair.  $20 for his items and $10 for personnel items.

Jerry Lawler told us about what happened to Moolah.  He said that she was a class act.  Lawler was very friendly but you could tell he had other things on his mind.  The King had a collection of different photos.  He was $10 for his things and $5 for personnel.

Talia is always great to see.  She was extremely happy with her new TNA deal.  She was taking pictures with fans and selling her photos.  Talia signed what ever was put in front of her for free.

Christian was selling his last WWE promo and his TNA promo that he was holding the NWA Title.  AJ Styles was seating next to Christian.  He was very laid back and had copies of the new TNA promo with him.  A lot of people thought $10 for a copy of a photo was a little much.

Sgt Slaughter is always a great guy.  He had his G.I.Joe photo with him.  Samoa Joe did not have anything to sell he just signed what ever people had.

Other local wrestlers that took part in the fan meet and greet were Supreme Lee Great, Brian Anthony, Alere Little Feather, and Gus Harlacher.

The signing was run smoothly.  It was a long line getting around the room, but everyone that was working the show made it run well.  All the different talents had really nice photos. Samoa Joe did not have any of his own photos but would sign what ever anyone had for him.

The wrestling event started off about 7:45pm.  The building was packed with people for the show.  The show started with a 10 bell for the late great Fabulous Moolah.

Match 1:   Gus Harlacher defeated Supreme Lee Great after a split legged moon Sault.  It was a very good match.  A lot of crowd reaction.

Up next legendary ref Dick Kroll came out to thank the fans for coming to the events event.  He spoke about the great history that Scranton, PA had in wrestling.  Kroll got a standing ovation.

Match 2:  Talia Madison and Doink the Clown defeated Alere Little Feather and Rob Eckos when Talia hit a flying cross body from the top rope.  It was a very entertaining match.  A lot of comedy spots.  The crowd was very into the match.

Match 3:  Sgt Slaughter and 2 members of the Pioneer’s football team match beat former WWE star Romeo Roselli, Brian Anthony and Ricky Landell.  Romeo, Anthony, and Landell where all but in to the Cobra Clutch.

Match 4:  Samoa Joe pinned AJ Styles after hitting the Muscle Buster.  Extremely high impacted match.  A lot of near falls.  AJ had Joe set up twice for the Styles Clash, but Joe got out and hit the Muscle Buster for the win.

During intermission another signing started.  This signing featured Doink and Talia, Romeo, Alere Little Feather, Brian Anthony, and Supreme Lee Great.

Match 5:  N.E.W. Heavy Weight Championship Match.  Champion Xavier pinned Jason Blade.  Match started off hard hitting and fast.  A lot of near falls and submissions in the opening minutes of the match.  Xavier hit a face first suplex and Blade was knocked out.  Blood started coming from the nose and mouth of Jason Blade.  Xavier hit the “Kiss your X” for the win.  Officials from N.E.W. took Blade straight to the hospital after the match.

Match 6:  Jerry “The King” Lawler pinned Joey Matthews (aka MNM’s Joey Mercury) after hitting a pile driver.  The fans were all over Matthews with the “You got fired” chants.  Lawler took the microphone and told Matthews he was going to beat him worst then the Hardy’s did in the ladder match.  Matthews came on strong against Lawler.  Matthews even took of his chain necklace and used it on the Hall of Famer.  How ever he was no match for The King.

Match 7:  TNA World Heavy Weight Title Match:  Champion Kurt Angle made Christian Cage tap out to the ankle lock.  A lot of back and forth during the match.  Ref Sean Hanson got knock down and Kurt hit the Angle Slam.  Angle went for the ref and Cage recovered.  Cage hit the “Unprettier” on Angle for a two count. Cage missed with the frog slaps and Angle went for the ankle lock but Cage got the ropes.  Cage went for the “Unprettier” again but Angle reversed and hocked the ankle lock.  Christian Cage had to tap out.
