Ashley injury update
February 22, 2006
After further medical consultation, it was decided that due to the spiral crack in her left fibula, Ashley would need surgery. The 2005 RAW Diva Search winner underwent successful surgery to have a plate placed in her leg and is already on the road to recovery. Ashley is out of surgery but will be in a cast for four weeks. After getting out of the cast, she will require four weeks of rehabilitation.   She suffered the spiral fracture of the left fibula while competing in the Diva Battle Royal on RAW Monday night to determine a No. 1 Contender for the Women’s Championship. She was one of the final two Divas eliminated when Candice pushed her and Mickie James over the top rope. Ashley landed awkwardly on her leg causing the break.   Check back later today for an exclusive interview with Ashley.

JBL injured on SmackDown
February 22, 2006
This week on SmackDown during a six-man tag team match, JBL sustained a serious hand injury. Surgery on that hand will take place first thing Thursday morning. WWE.com will have an update as soon as it becomes available.
This match pitting JBL, Finlay & Randy Orton against Rey Mysterio, Lashley & Chris Benoit can be seen Friday Night (8/7 CT) on UPN.

Something big as far as an announcement to wrestlers is expected on Monday at the combined Raw & Smackdown tapings in Washington, DC. All wrestlers on the roster, including the guys who haven't been used in a while, have been told they must be at the tapings.
I wonder if there will be more layoffs??

WWE diva Trish Stratus named host of this year's Walk of Fame gala
Canadian Press
TORONTO (CP) - Canada's Walk of Fame is planning some "Stratusfaction" for its 2006 induction ceremony in June.
Trish Stratus, the Toronto-born superstar of World Wrestling Entertainment, has been chosen to host the gala at which the latest batch of accomplished Canadian celebrities - to be announced March 8th - will be honoured. "Oh my God, I'm so excited!" the glamorous model-turned-wrestler gushed in a telephone interview from Trenton, N.J., where she was touring with the WWE.
"Just the fact that the event itself recognizes Canadian talent, Canadian artists, just to be part of it is wonderful. Hosting it is fantastic."
Asked if following comic Tom Green as gala host - he did it the last two years - might be an incentive to end up on the Walk of Fame herself one day, she said that would be great.
"Yeah, that definitely inspires me to just keep pushing on as a Canadian artist, for sure."
While the June 3 hosting gig at Toronto's Hummingbird Centre might not give her any clout to recommend new inductees, Stratus did agree that Canadian wrestler Bret Hart deserves consideration, as do some of the legends from the old days like Killer Kowalski, Lord Athol Layton and Little Beaver.
Stratus giggled when informed that opera singer Teresa Stratas is already on the Walk.
"Yeah, she's my aunt and she's a way better singer than me. Just kidding!"
The pro wrestling diva's motto and finishing move is called Stratusfaction, and while she is known for being good at both grappling and looking good, she hopes her gig will allow her to show off her lesser-known talent for comedy. She promises some quirky and funny moments.
"I've already had to sign a disclosure saying I won't beat up anybody," she says with a laugh. "And then I wrote back in brackets, 'but only if I got really, really mad!' "

Maximum Xtreme Pro Wrestling (MXPW) is proud to announce that all spots have been filled for the Lords of the Ring Tag Team Tournament.
The final team in the tag team tournament is the team of Scott Commodity and Preston James, known as Modern Day Theory. With their old school meets new school hybrid style of wrestling, Modern Day Theory have been successful throughout the state of Florida. These two athletes definitely have the talent to go all the way in the tournament.
However, due to an ongoing situation with the Heartbreak Express, MXPW was forced to make a decision to have a qualifying match to see which team will advance into the 8th slot for the Lords of the Ring tournament. The Heartbreak Express and Modern Day Theory were both contacted early on in the planning of the tournament, and due to the time sensitive issue of obtaining all of the tag teams we originally wanted, the Heartbreak Express did not respond in time. After a large outburst of fan support for the Heartbreak Express, along with the fact that they are one of the premier tag teams in the state of Florida, we decided that the fair thing to do is to have a qualifying match that night.
The Heartbreak Express, Sean and Phil Davis, currently hold multiple tag team titles in and around the state of Florida. Known for their ability to mix it up and the ability to work many different styles, the Heartbreak Express would like to bring these trophies home.
In their two previous encounters, Modern Day Theory has defeated the Heartbreak Express both times.
Maximum Xtreme Pro Wrestling presents Lords of the Ring, an eight-team invitational tag team tournament. The inaugural event will be held on Saturday night, April 29, 2006 at 7 PM at the Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Burrow Arena located at 777 Glades in Boca Raton.
The eight teams in the tournament are:
Low Ki & Homicide
Donovan Morgan & Mike Modest
Fast & Furious
The SAT
Black Market
Backseat Boyz
Briscoe Brothers
The winner of The Heartbreak Express vs. Modern Day Theory

WWE Hall of Famer Tito Santana @ IWF February Fury Weekend:
Santana-Sampson-McGuire vs. Knight-Donavan-Blake on Feb 25

(West Paterson, NJ)- Live Independent Wrestling Federation action returns with February Fury Weekend this Saturday, February 25, 7:30 pm and Sunday, February 26, 3:30 pm at IWF Centre, West Paterson, NJ.  In action on February 25th is WWE Hall of Famer Tito Santana.  Here is the preview.

Determined to make a statement last month, the Ross Family decided to call out a legend and issued a challenge to former WWE Intercontinental and WWE Tag Team Champion Tito Santana.  IWF Champion Kevin Knight and Tag Team Champions Shawn Donavan and Travis Blake dared the Hall of Famer to find two partners for a Six-Man Tag Team Match on February 25th.  Santana chose former IWF Champion BoneCrusher Fred Sampson and Junior Champion Dangerous Dan McGuire.

At January's Winter Warfare, Sampson came within a hair of regaining the IWF Heavyweight Title from former partner Knight, until a reverse decision awarded Knight the win.  Also, McGuire was assaulted by Donavan and Blake as retribution for refusing to bring his Junior Title into the Ross Family.  On February 25th, Tito Santana will even up the sides and join forces with Sampson and McGuire to battle the Ross Family in a grudge match.
