A new television special about the Benoit tragic events of June 22 and June 23 will be debuting February 6, at 9 PM EST on Canada's CBC as part of their Fifth Estate program. The special will reportedly feature interviews with Bret Hart and Jake "The Snake" Roberts, as well as Chris Benoit's father Michael. http://www.cbc.ca/fifth/

I heard a rumor that Stephanie McMahon might be expecting her second child around July, but have not been able to confirm.
Stephanie and Paul have a daughter name Aurora Rose Levesque who was born on July 24, 2006.

The Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission regulates boxing and mixed martial arts in the state of Georgia. Professional wrestling also falls under the commission's jurisdiction. The commission is now taking a serious look at pro wrestling, and, while the industry wants to work with the commission, they're not sure they're getting the chance.

We interviewed WWE star Rey Mysterio at the Toys 'R' Us store in Manhattan recently. His video game Smackdown vs. Raw 08 is one of the best games we have played.
After your knee surgery were you worried about hurting your knee when you returned to wrestling? Yes. I think I am always afraid to get hurt. This knee surgery that I had is just one. I will show you my scar [Rey showed us his leg and knee scars from all the surgeries.] Every time I step into the ring I pray that I don't get hurt; for myself and for my opponents. I just want to go out there and perform and make the audience feel good. When they walk out of the building and have them say, "Wow, that was really good. Rey Mysterio really tore it up tonight."
Besides yourself, who is your favorite wrestler? Growing up I had many. My uncle. I am a second-generation wrestler, you have Rey Mysterio Sr. He has always been an inspiration to me. I love watching WWE. I used to love watching Shawn Michaels. Shawn Michaels has always been one of my favorites.
How did you learn to do the move 619? That is the move I have been practicing for almost 10 years now. I have been wrestling for 18 years, and that move I think was first done by a wrestler named Tigermas who is a Japanese wrestler. I am talking about almost 25 years ago. Sometimes you see something and you just want to learn it. I don't want to say that I stole it, I just wanted to do a variation of that. The next thing I know I was putting opponents on the rope and I was doing the 619. I named it after the area code for San Diego, which is where I grew up.
Why did you want to cover your face with a mask? The mask has a lot of history. Growing up south of San Diego and in Tijuana, Mexico, I got to see a lot of Mucho Libre, that is what I grew up with. I have to say that 98 percent of the wrestlers in Mexico wear masks. They cover their identity because it is a tradition. It is because the Aztec warriors used to wear them in battle. When I first came to the United States, the fans thought it was really cool with my style, my size and my physique -- I wasn't really big, but there was something special about Rey Mysterio, and that came with the mask.
How many hours do you practice before a big match? I try to train my body at least an hour and a half a day. That is running or on a bicycle for a half-hour and I try to do an hour of weightlifting. That does not include eating. I have to eat about every three hours. If I don't, I get grumpy.
Do you perform all your moves on the video game? Yes. I think it is close to what you would get on TV. The only thing is, you get to do the moves that you want. That is pretty cool.
Do you play the video game Smackdown with your children? Why did you have to ask me that? I play against my son! We have a PSP, PlayStation2 at home. We have the Xbox and the Wii. It seems that my son spends more time playing than I do, because every time I sit down and play with him he always beats me. It is frustrating and it gets me mad! It is pretty cool; imagine playing yourself in a video game.
DID YOU KNOW? Rey Mysterio's original wrestling name was The Hummingbird. He took his name from his uncle, the original Rey Mysterio."

Super Sunday !!! Hey Gang !!! Before I get started, I threw a few more items on my ebay store... www.stores.ebay.com/Victorias-Goodies It's Super Sunday. I don't get a chance to watch much football with my wrestling schedule. But in general, I pull for the underdog. My prediction, Giants 34, Pats 31...but I wouldn't bet on it : ) I did watch Brock fight last night. He fought a former champion in his second pro fight, and I thought he looked strong. I think he'll do very well down the road. I also watched Little Miss Sunshine the other night. Olive Hoover is my new role model. I laughed so hard at the end of that movie. I'm gonna steal some of her dance moves for my next "best body" contest. I'm off on a WWE Tour of South America for the next couple weeks. It should be interesting. I expect to have a major announcement in my next blog, after I return. Oh yeah, I put another photo in my myspace photo album.
