LESNAR VS MIR ANNOUNCED FOR MAY
- Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir was officially announced for Saturday May 23 at
the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The title of the PPV is 'UFC 98:
Lesnar vs Mir 2'. The main event fight will determine the undisputed UFC
Heavyweight champion and Lesnar will also try and defeat the man who gave
him his first MMA loss in just 90 seconds. In their first fight, Lesnar
dominated Mir but tapped out after the more experienced Mir caught him in a
knee bar. "Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir put on one of the most intense one
round fights I've ever seen at UFC 81," said UFC President Dana White. "I'm
delighted to have a rematch against Frank Mir. I can't wait to get my
revenge and finish this fight on the ground the way it should have been
finished last time," said Lesnar who defeated Randy Couture for the UFC
Heavyweight title last November. Mir won the Interim Heavyweight title from
Antonio Nogueira in December. Tickets are priced $800, $600, $400, $250,
$125 and $75 and will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, March 7
at 10AM PST at Ticketmaster.com.

I just heard through the grapevine that there will be a WWE 25 Diva Battle Royal at WrestleMania 25 in Houston, TX.  I do believe Trish Stratus and Sunny will be a part of that match.   It also wouldn’t be WrestleMania without Mae Young..  LOL

Boogeyman was just released from the WWE today, I am helping with the booking of Marty.  He is extremely popular, worms and all.  It’s a shame the WWE didn't see fit to keep this very unique talent in their company.

NWA Gets Franchised on March 13th, 2009!!!
There’s an old saying that goes, “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!!” Could that saying ring true for the National Wrestling Alliance with the pending arrival of “The Franchise” Shane Douglas on March 13th in Roselle, N.J. at the Abraham Clark High School? On August 27th 1994 Shane Douglas captured the NWA World’s Heavyweight Championship in a tournament final in Philadelphia, Pa by defeating 3 opponents that night and winning the tournament for th e vacant strap. As most know only minutes into his championship reign, Shane proceeded to throw down the title and tell the wrestling world he didn’t want to be recognized as NWA champion. Ever since the announcement was made that on March 13th, 2009 nearly 15 years after forfeiting the championship he earned, Shane Douglas is returning to the organization he tried to kill. NWA promoters across the globe, as well as several high ranking NWA officials, have contacted the NWA On Fire offices and voiced their disapproval of the fact that Shane Douglas returns to the NWA. Many suspect he’s out to “double cross” the NWA for a second time. That Shane is only looking for another stage to “put himself over.” What are Shane’s true intentions and why is he coming back to professional wrestling, the NWA and out of retirement altogether? One thing’s for sure and that is if Shane Douglas hopes to make a successful comeback he needs a victory in his first match back and that’s not exactly a small task on March 13th, 2009. That is because Shane is20being thrown right back into the spotlight as he will be in the main event that evening when he faces former ECW alumni and former WWE superstar James “aka Nunzio, aka Little Guido, aka F.B.I. member” Maritato.
