Rob is headed to Los Angeles to participate in the festivities leading up to SummerSlam, WWE’s biggest summer event. Starting on August 15, he will paint live outside of the panel discussions to be held at Nokia Theatre LA Live. His subject of choice? None other than the legendary “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, one of several featured panelists.
Wrestling fans are encouraged to stop by the theater from August 15-17 to see Schamberger in action, absolutely free of charge. Several of Schamberger’s prints, including a limited edition SummerSlam 2014 print, will be on sale at various merchandise areas inside the theater.

THE F1RST HERO #1, the first comic book by writer ANTHONY RUTTGAIZER (aka independent professional wrestler ANTHONY KINGDOM JAMES) hits stands today, Wednesday August 13th, at comic shops in Canada and the United States, and worldwide via digital distributors such as Comixology.
The series, being published by Action Lab Entertainment, follows the story of a world where superpowers drive anyone who get them insane, creating a world composed entirely of villains. The story's main character, Jake Roth, is the first person who maintains his sanity after getting powers. He must decide whether to use his new abilities to help people but risk be hunted down by the government or to keep his powers a secret and watch innocent people being hurt every day.
The story shifts from the battlefield of Afghanistan in Issue 1 to the streets of South Philadelphia in issue 2. Kingdom promises wrestling fans that a certain "Arena" plays an important part in the story in Issues 2 and 3 of the four-issue series.

Five of the evening’s scheduled matches have been revealed:
In the main event, CHIKARA Grand Champion Icarus will team with the new Campeones de Parajas, The Throwbacks (Dasher Hatfield & Mark Angelosetti), and The Colony (Fire Ant & Worker Ant) to face The Flood in a five-on-five battle! CHIKARA’s champions, along with their ant allies, will have a tall order in overcoming this wave of The Flood, especially since they won’t know their opponents beforehand! Both sides are eager to get the advantage as the war between CHIKARA and The Flood rages on!
CHIKARA newcomer Juan Francisco de Coronado will wrestle The Leader of the Band, Archibald Peck, in a first-time confrontation with high stakes! Juan Francisco will not hesitate to use every wrestling move and dirty trick he knows to keep his three points and Grand Championship match with Icarus! But if Juan loses, he goes back to square one and must earn all three points again, while Marchie Archie will earn his first point on the way to a title match for himself!
Canada’s Most Professional Tag Team, 3.0 (“Big Magic” Shane Matthews & Scott “Jagged” Parker) will meet the Colony: Xtreme Force (Missile Assault Ant & Orbit Adventure Ant)! The two teams faced off in a trios match during Season 12, but this is the first time they will battle in tag team action! Points are in play in this one! Missile Assault and Orbit Adventure want to earn their first, while Matthews and Parker want to move one point closer to becoming CHIKARA’s first three-time Campeones de Parajas!
In a battle of wrestling technique versus sheer power, Silver Ant will face off with The Proletariat Boar of Moldova! The Bloc Party’s Proletariat Boar is a newcomer to CHIKARA and anxious to prove himself in singles competition! Silver Ant has already done so and now looks to start a path to the Grand Championship by earning his first point!
Just announced this week, Kodama of The Batiri will wrestle Smooth Sailin’ Ashley Remington in singles action! This will be Kodama’s first singles match in CHIKARA in over two years! Remington’s been impressive since his debut in May, earning victories against CHIKARA veterans Chuck Taylor and Archibald Peck. Can the lone demon Kodama score a victory and earn his first point or will Remington receive another point on his path to the coveted CHIKARA Grand Championship?
Just added yesterday, there will be a Four Corner Elimination Match featuring The Osirian Portal (Amasis & Ophidian), The Spectral Envoy, The Flood (Jaka & Qefka the Quiet), and Kickin n’ Stompin! All four teams will all be looking to win and possibly accumulate the three points needed to contend for the Campeonatos de Parajas! The Portal, Envoy, and Flood teams are well-known to the CHIKARMY, but Kickin n’ Stompin, the team of Ivan Sullivan and Razen from North Shore Pro Wrestling in Québec City, will be making their CHIKARA debut!

In the main event, Icarus will make his very first defense of the CHIKARA Grand Championship since winning the title from Eddie Kingston at “You Only Live Twice”! But there’s a catch - we don’t know who his opponent will be yet! As per a CHIKARA Event Center edict from our Director of Fun Mike Quackenbush, in order to earn a Grand Championship match, a wrestler must earn three points by winning three successive singles matches, but if they lose a match, they return to square one with zero points! Currently, the only person with three points is The Ecuadorian Aristocrat Juan Francisco de Coronado, but others like Jimmy Jacobs, Worker Ant and Ophidian already have two points!
Smooth Sailin’ Ashley Remington will drop anchor in le Port de Montréal to wrestle The Kentucky Gentleman Chuck Taylor one final time! When the two met in Manhattan at “The Living Daylights”, Remington got the win but the referee didn’t see Taylor’s feet on the ropes! Taylor complained to everyone from his mother to the Director of Fun that it was unfair! The ever accommodating Remington agreed and a gentleman’s agreement was struck! Ashley and “Charles” will wrestle one more time to determine who the best man honestly and truly is!
In a trios match, the recently-formed threesome of 3peck0 (Archibald Peck, “Big Magic” Shane Matthews, and Scott “Jagged” Parker) will battle three of the biggest and baddest members of Sidney Bakabella’s Wrecking Crew in Max Smashmaster, Flex Rumblecrunch, and Jaka! This is only 3peck0’s second match together, while The Wrecking Crew has been wrestling as a team for over a year! Can Matthews, Parker, and Peck battle back from a power and experience deficit to win or will The Wrecking Crew live up to their name and destroy a trio of CHIKARA’s top tecnicos?
In a singles match, Kodama from The Batiri will face The BDK’s Nøkken and both wrestlers are out for vengeance! Kodama wants to avenge the loss of Kobald at “You Only Live Twice” and he will get a chance against one of The Flood’s powerhouses! The elusive Nøkken is still enraged over the death of the Tursas at “The Living Daylights” and will take his fury out on any member of CHIKARA in his way! Kodama has a huge hurdle to overcome if he is to be victorious against the giant Nøkken!
One of CHIKARA's most celebrated teams, The Colony, and the devious duo of Los Ice Creams will be part of a Four Corner Elimination Match! Their opponents haven’t been announced, but they could include any other tag team from CHIKARA or The Flood! Points are in play and no matter who joins them in this match, you can be sure the new Campeones de Parajas, The Throwbacks, will be watching and scouting possible challengers to their titles!
