Invasion!! Can The NWA-East Stop The Lou Marconi And His 216 Clique??

October 6, 2010 is date that may well go down in infamy for the NWA-East as that was the date that Lou Marconi and the 216 Clique did exactly what Lou proclaimed early that night when he stated that he would turn the NWA-East world upside down.

 Lou Marconi is one of the most decorated wrestlers in NWA-East's history and recent return to the promotion has seen him catapult himself into Heavyweight Title contention while also holding the Three Rivers Title. However, Lou has changed the course of the entire promotion by creating a war between the Pittsburgh and NWA-East loyal wrestlers and fans of the promotion and his Cleveland based 216 Clique.

At the live event on October 6th, Lou attacked Heavyweight Champion Chris Taylor after his successful title defense against arch enemy Dash Bennett in a Casket Match. In a flash the other steady members of the 216 Clique, Dan Arkham and Will Esquire, hit the ring. But that was not all Lou with him as he would reveal that he indeed has an army behind him. Five other men hit the ring from all corners of the building and the assault on the Heavyweight Champion was on!! Even Dash Bennett and Stacy HUnter, Chris Taylor's sworn enemies, hit the ring to defend Taylor and the NWA-East. Ryan Mitchell, Taylor's closest friend, came to assist him, but all were beat down by the eight man army in the ring. Finally, the lockeroom cleared out and chased away Lou and the 216 Clique. Lou promised to be back with more surprises.

Two weeks later, Lou made good on his promise as he and his men hit the ring attacking Stryder, Shirley Doe, Dash Bennett, and Stacy Hunter. Members of the NWA-East lockeroom once again had to hit the ring. Lou would terrorize the promotion all night long even attacking and cutting the hair of promising young star Travus Fame. In the main event, it appeared that the NWA-East has the 216 Clique's number until Lou's army grew as another several men hit the ring and decimated the NWA-East lockeroom. 14 men total Lou has now brought in to invade the promotion and bring it to it's knees. Lou has promised that this is just the start too.

Now, Lou Marconi has a shot at the NWA-East Champion Chris Taylor and the heavyweight title this Saturday night. Taylor has been one of the spearheads in trying to stop this invasion and now has the chance to give the NWA-East some well needed momentum by defeating Lou and not allowing the title to fall into the hands of the 216 Clique.

Lou, however, has a chance to deliver a crippling blow to the NWA-East by walking out of the building with the title belt and that is exactly what Lou wants to do. Can Lou cripple the NWA-East or will the NWA-East gain a measure of revenge on the invaders??

In another match involving the NWA-East and the 216 Clique, a monsterous ten man tag-team match will further the war as it is confirmed that the 216 Clique will have Frank Stalletto, Dan Arkham, and the physical freak Kenny Hendrix on their side as the NWA-East has only announced that Patrick Hayes and Ryan Mitchell will lead the NWA-East in this one. 

Word has it that the 216 Clique invasion has gained the attention of the NWA powers that be and the entire NWA as we shall see what that may mean for the event this Saturday night!!!

Contenders' Crunch Time Is Here!!

The 'Contenders' series is heading down the home stretch as the fourth round of matches will take place this Saturday night. Chris LeRusso is undefeated at 3-0 and, while he has an inside track to the three-way elimination finals, can officially win the first spot in the finals of 'Contenders' set for the first live event of 2011. LeRusso has gone through the competition in impressive fashion thus far and can really put an exclamation point on his impressive showing with a win here. He will, be facing Jason Cage who is now 2-1 in the series after winning the last matches in a row. A win by Cage would virtually guarantee him a spot in the three-way finals while a loss could push him right back into the middle of the pack. Cage v LeRusso certainly has major implications in the 'Contenders' series.

Travis Fame has been able to use his place in the 'Contenders' series to show that he is a star in the making here in the NWA-East. He does, however, find himself needing a big win against CJ Sensation to keep his hopes of reaching the finals alive. CJ Sensation came into "Contenders' as one of the favorites to win it all, but has quickly found himself in a major hole at 0-3 and to have any chance at all of reaching the finals will need to win his last two matches and get some help.

Will Esquire is another young man that has been able to make himself a star in the making in the NWA-East with his very impressive performances thus far. He stands at 1-2 and will need to pretty much win out to have a shot at the finals. He will have the tough task of having to defeat Troy Lords this Saturday night. Lords has been red hot as of late as he carries a 2-1 record into this match and, with a win, can almost lock up a spot in the finals.

 'Contenders' has truly featured stiff competition as, other than Chris LeRusso, it has been proven that anyone can beat anyone on any given night.

Tag-Team Title Rematches

Team Mega has had a frustrating time of trying to take out the huge team of the Mon Valley Monsters as their sneak attacks have been very unproductive and thier one match against the Monsters resulted in them walking out of the match. The Monsters are the largest team the NWA-East has had in it's tag-team ranks in years as Gator stands at over 350lbs and the 'smaller' Beast weighs in at 310lbs. The size advantage as well as their years of experience and street tough brawling has proven to be a thorn in the side of NWA North American Tag-Team Champions Team Mega. Can Mega pull yet another trcik out of their sleeves to walk out with the belts still around their waists?

Current NWA-East Tag-Team Champions Golden Reign have become one of the best tag-teams in the entire area and will look to cement that status by defeating former NWA North American Tag-Team Champions Excellence Personified(Brandon K and Scottie Gash). Gash and K have a win against Reign, but it was Reign who gained the win the las time these two teams set foot in the ring against one another.  Gash and K are still trying to reach their ultimate goal of the NWA World Tag-Team Titles. They feel they must first win the NWA-East titles and then regain the North American Titles in order to get back to contention for the World Titles. A loss here could derail those ambitions quickly while it could put Golden Reign on the map for the North American Titles.

Mad Mike's open challenge for the Brass Knuckles Title accepted

Mad Mike is arguably the most popular wrestler ever in the NWA-East's 16 year history and he now reigns as the Brass Knuckles Champion. Mike has proven to be a dominating force as champion and has now issued an open challenge to anyone.

We have just learned that the challenge was accepted and that his opponent will be anounced right here before anywhere else! Mad MIke's opponent for this Saturday night will be none other than another man that has held every title in the promotion in 'The King Of Men' Devin Devine! The last time Devin walked back into the promotion after a lengthy absence, he won the Brass Knuckles in his first match back. Can he do it again?

Devin and Mike have a history that dates all the way back to 2002 as this one should explode right off the bat!!!

Triple Threat Three Rivers Title Match

New Three Rivers Champion Stryder will get another chance to defend his title in a triple threat match. His first defense ended in a no contest after all people in the match were attacked by the 216 Clique. This time Stryder will face against a friend, Jon Burton, and a foe, Dash Bennett. This will prove to be a very stiff defense for Stryder as Burton has been red hot in 2010 and will look to bring it to a close as the Three Rivers Champion while Dash Bennett will look to win his unprecedented 5th Three Rivers Championship.

Can Stryder continue his own hot streak and walk out the champion???

Hansen's v Bad Intentions

The Hansen Brothers have thrown their hat into the NWA-East v 216 Clique war, but also have their eyes on tag-team gold and will look to gain another big win against the new group Bad Intentions. Paul Atlas has seen and done it all when it comes to the NWA-East and will lead his two young rookie proteges Piston Wiley and Terry Ring into this match looking to begin to show these young upstarts what it takes to become a champion.

Atlas has not stated which two of the three of them will wrestle the Hansens, but according to Crusher Hansen, it does not matter as he and his younger brother will dominate and move that much closer to getting a tag-team title match...
