The Inmates Are Runing The Asylum!!
During the 2 month layoff at the end of the 2009 PWX campaign, NWA-East and PWX owner Jim Miller sent shockwaves throughout the promotion by abruptly dismissing the Championship Committee from all duties after what Mr. Miller considered was a total hands off approach to the daily running of the promotion.
As a result, the only people able to make any kind of decisions of power were Miller himself and the referees at the NWA-East. Many questioned as to whether there would be any kind of authority exhibited at the January 30th 'Genesis 3' live event. It took about 3 minutes into the night for the answer to be found.....and it was a definite NO!!!
The Heavyweight Title Main Event for the night actually started in the lockerroom live interview area and spilled out to the ring to start the night which then saw interference by champion Ashton Amhurst's cohorts including the returning(from a nearly 3 month hiatus) Patrick Hayes. This would become the theme throughout the night as many people would make their returns with no-one to presumably stop them.
The lifetime banned Devin Devine returned, with no Championship Committee to halt it, inserted himself into the Brass Knuckles Title Match and walked out the new champion. Crusher Hansen, who is supposed to be retired as per the stipulation he agreed to and was enforced by the Championship Committee, returned without any tricks up his sleeve and re vealed that he had once again become a licensed referee in the state of Pennsylvania and would referee his own matches from this point foward(as he did 8 years ago).
Mad Mike mad his return after over 4 months out with an injury to help out his old friend Scottie Gash after he was attacked by the what were suppossed to be released trio of Chris LeRusso, Bobby Beverly, and Gregory Iron. Jon Burton made his return as well, much to the delight of the capacity crowd and proclaimed a new focus on becoming the Heavyweight Champion and informed all that were there that he would start over and go throught everyone to get there.
Finally, JB Destiny made his return to the promotion entering himself into the tag-team scene by assisting rookie Travis Fame after he was brutally attacked by new NWA-East Tag-Team Champions Ryan Reign and Robert Parker Williams.
The night also saw Ryan Mitchell win the annual Golden Ticket Battle Royal(where the winner receives title contracts at every title in the promotion good for anytime in 2010) and quickly cash in his Three Rivers Title shot against champion Dash Bennett. Mitchell would walk out the new champion to close out a night full of chaos!!
With the only authority figure in Jim Miller even walking out of the arena and a true Wild West type of atmosphere with the "Inmates Running The Asylum" where does the NWA-East go from here leading into February Fury 3 on February 20th???

NWA-East Heavyweight Title Match:
Ashton Amhurst defends against Jason Cage
Heavyweight Champion Ashton Amhurst has begun to ring up quite an impressive list of people he has successfully defended his title against including Sterling James Keenan, Scottie Gash, Brandon K, Mad Mike, and Ryan Mitchell. Amhurst has aslo proved to be a very resiliant champion able to protect his title at all costs. he now faces a man that will be wrestling for the NWA-East Heavyweight Title for the first time in his career in "Hot Property" Jason Cage.
Cage returned to the NWA-East after a several year absense and won the Brass Knuckles Title at the 15th Anniversary Show to then lose it after a 4 month reign at the January 30th 'Genesis 3' event. Cage has been one of the hottest wrestlers in the promotion for the last 6 months and now looks to take that momentum into his biggest match ever in the NWA-East. Can Jason Cage pull off what has to be considered an upset?
Not if Ashton Amhurst has anything to say about it. Anhurst bas been embroiled in a vicious, personal feud with new Three Rivers Champion Ryan Mitchell for the past couple of months. The question for Amhurst is will he be able to focus on the challenge directly in front of him? or, will the impending showdown with Mitchell cost him the top prize in the promotion?

"NWA-East Three Rivers Title Match"
Ryan Mitchell defends against Chris Taylor
This is it. This is the PWX Dream Match that the fans have voted the most for online to see at February Fury 3 on the 20th. It really wasnt even close as the online "Fantasy Free For Brawl" vote saw this matchup take over 70 percent of the total vote.
While the Championship Committee dreamed up the concept for an entire card of Fantasy Matches, the whole online voting was almost all for naught with the dismissal of the Committee. However, both Taylor and Mitchell said "lets do the match the fans want" and now it appears that the online voting for at least one match in the 'Fantasy free For Brawl" could stick around to become an annual item on the February live events.
Mitchell is riding high after winning both The Golden Ticket Battle Royal and the Three Rivers Title at the last event and he is considerd one of the most popualr wrestlers in the NWA-East today. An accomplished wrestler who has received the attention of the WWE and has wrestled in Japan, Mitchell is a top ranked competitor in the NWA-East.
Speaking of popular, Chris Taylor made his return at the 15th Anniversary show in September after an injury induced hiatus of nearly 6 months. This was a return that actually was so emotional for some fans that they shed tears of joy for Taylor. Taylor was just voted the second best wrestler of the entire decade in the NWA-East(2000-2009) and still is the man who has the Heavyweight Title longer than any other person in the 15 plus year history of the promotion at 14 months.
These two ultra-popular, top ranked wrestlers in the promotion will lock horns for the first time ever at February Fury 3 on the 20th in what some are saying could have the potential to be an early 'Match Of The Year' candidate if it lives up to expectations.... which many think it will!!

"NWA-East Brass Knuckles Title Match"
Devin Devine defends against Scottie Gash
The most controversial man in the NWA-East and the only man ever to receive a lifetime ban(for piledriving Championship Committee member Shawn Patrick) in the promotion's history; Devin Devine took full advantage of no authority in the NWA-East as he walked into the building on January 30th a banned man and walked out the Brass Knuckles Champion.
Now, Devine makes his first title defense in the choatic, wild west-like atmosphere of the NWA-East against aman that is no stranger to controversy himself in the current NWA North American Tag-Team Champion Scottie Gash. Gash has been able to hang on to the nationally recognized titles with partner Brandon K for almost all of 2009 and into early 2010 and knows what it takes to defend and win a title. It has been almost seven years since he last held the Brass Knuckles Title and he could walk out on February 20th with the title around his waist yet again.
These two men are two of the most accomplished wrestlers in the promotion's history and nothing short of every trick in the book can be expected here. Devine is as oppurtunistic as ever while Gash is always one step ahead of his competition. Devin will sink to any level to come out on top while Gash has been there and one that several times over.
What will happen when two of the biggest players in the promotion go at it with gold on the line???

Tag-Team Scene Heats Up?!?!
Mad Mike & Troy Lords versus Crusher & Tony Hansen whileStraight Jacket Mafia battles the new team of JB Destiny & Travis Fame while the new NWA-East Tag-Team Champions Ryan Regin & Robert Parker Williams defend the titles!!
Could it be that the nearly catatonic tag-team division in the NWa-East finally be picking up some steam? It looks as though that could be the case as Crusher Hansen looks to get his younger brother (who is actually much bigger than his 6'1 280lb older brother is) into the NWA-East wrestling scene on a positive note by taking him under his wing in a tag-team. The Hansens' are easily the biggest team to come along the way in many years dating all the way back to perhaps 2001 with the team of Big Poppa Gator and Cory K. The elder Hansen was just voted the wrestler of the decade in the NWA-East(2000-2009) and has held noth the NWA National and NWA North American Tag-Team titles as well as the NWA-East Heavyweight Title on several occasions while he has just goit done training his younger brother Tony who stands at 6'4 and weighs in at over 350lbs.
The opponents for The Hansens will be a unique duo in the intense veteran of the NWA-East Mad MIke and the relative newcomer(debuting in August of 2009) in the promotion in Troy Lords. Lords is certainly a veteran of wrestling, but a newcomer to the promotion. These two men ahve a total contrast of styles as Mike is a hard htting, brawling, in your face wrestler who has held many titles in the promotion and is one of the most popular wrestlers ever in the NWA-East....While, Troy Lords is a smaller, quicker, mat technician who just heard the fans cheers for the first time at the last live event. Will the huge contrasts in style work to the favor of the Mike and Lords or will it prove to be disaster???
Meanwhile, the longest reigning tag-team champions in the promotion's history, Straight Jacket Mafia, will look to get back on track once and for all against the brand new team of longtime veteran JB Destiny and rookie Travis Fame. The vet/rook combo just formed at the last event and will be put to a huge test against a team like SJM!! Though, Destiny has been able to capture the tag-team titles with more partners than anyone else here, so maybe the longtime fan favorite can work his magic once again!!
Straight Jacket Mafia needs a win here as they could be on the verge of desparation as they have really hit a rut since holding the title for so long a couple years back. A loss here could be devastating especially with the questions as to why fellow hated wrestler Payton Graham started a fight with SJM's Apollyon during their title match at the last event. What was Graham's reasoning for this? Does he have a partner too and they want to establish themselves immediately by taking out the longest reigning champs ever?? Or, is there something to the bigger picture here?
Finally, the new NWA-East Tag-Team Champions Ryan Reign and Robert Parker Williams will be defending the titles on the 20th. Reign showed his true colors by taking out Piston Wiley with the championship belt to gain the win and the titles for his team at the last event and ow the champs are all one cohesive unit under the tutelage of one BC Steele. The problem here is that we do not know who their first defense is against and the champs arent talking about it right not. So, is this a way for the champs to look good against a "top contending team" or is it a surprise to even them? Nobody knows a thing here....

Singles Action Galore!!
Chris LeRusso versus the debuting Stryder....... Shirley Doe meets Blue Dragon..... and Jon Burton is in action for the first time since October!!
Chris LeRusso turned his back on his friends and the fans at the last event as he sided with Gregory Iron and Bobby Beverly and attacked friend Scottie Gash to the surprise of many. LeRusso was one of three men who were not asked back at the beginning of 2010 by the now gone Championship Committee(which is a big reason why the Committee is gone as rumored) but made their return with no-one authorized to stop them at the January 30th event and now are causing even more havoc within the promotion.
It is rumored that neither Iron nor Beverly will be at this event as they will be wrestling in Ohio, but LeRusso is confirmed to be here as he will face the debuting Stryder. Stryder has come highly reccommended by several current NWA-East stars but will face a whole new Chris LeRusso on the 20th. Can Stryder pull off a huge debut win?? Or, will the new attitude Chris leRusso begin a reign of terror??
Also, Shirley Doe will meet Blue Dragon in a match that can be linked to the last event as it was Doe who confronted the retiring Jake Garrett and his chosen opponent and tag-team partner Blue Dragon before their match thus resulting in the match becoming a tag-team match that featured Dragon/Garrett v Doe and rookie Payton Graham. Doe nearly pulled off a cheating win, but was caught and the match restarted where Garrett was able to pin Doe in his last match in the NWA-East.
Now, Blue Dragon has accepted Doe's challenge for a singles match as the evil Doe is out for revenge for the embarrassment he had to endure 3 weeks ago. Dragon has prvoen to be up to any challenge in the past and this could prove to be a huge win for Dragon in his first match back in singles competition.
Finally, Jon Burton begins his own personal quest to the Heavyweight Title this show in his first match back since October. Burton has proclaimed that he will go through anyone and everyone to prove he is ready to win the title and become one of the best in NWA-East's history. Will Burton still have his playful side to him or will he come in focused and ready for the challenge he has laid for himself??

Also in action will be Brandon K, James Ross, Payton Graham, Criss Crossfire, Patrick Hayes, amongst others!!

SHHHHH!!! Special PWX Fan Club Only Backstage Rumors!!!

- A former heavyweight champion has been keeping his eye on the situation here and could be looking to making a huge comeback very soon!!
- Is there dissension in the ranks between NWA-East Heavyweight Champion Ashton Amhurst, James Ross, Patrick Hayes, and Krystal Frost? A few reports of a heated argument have surfaced from the last event....
- Are NWA North American Tag-team Champions Scottie Gash and Brandon K upset at the NWA over the lack of title defense oppurtunites? Word has it, they will be taking measures into their own hands to create title defenses...
- What in the world is going on with former standout referee and Championship Committee member Shawn Patrick? Word has it that he has shown up in outside promotions refereeing matches but no contact at all has taken place between him and the NWA-East. This could be a situation worth monitoring as Shawn had long been one of the most vocal supporters of the promotion. Is there something more to he and Jim Miller's parting of the ways??
