- Press Release
….
National Wrestling Superstars finished out their two show weekend on Saturday night, November 7th at the Dunellen Knights of Columbus Hall in Dunellen, New Jersey and what a night it was with the crowds getting into the matches as soon as the National Anthem was played.
The guest ring announcer, for the second night in a row as former WWE Diva Sunny (aka Tammy Sytch) who was contracted to be there for this appearance but keep her distance from Commissioner Moore and Falco after last nites turn in Belleville (see belleville results) & according to many if she said so herself, is much better looking than Dapper Johnny Falco (when asked his opinions on the matter, Commissioner Gino Moore refused to say anything)
Match #1
Manual Manny Moore vs Indian Chief Draven
This was a battle of styles as Moore, trained in Lucha style took on the brawling style of Draven. The crowd started chanting it up as soon as Draven entered the building and despite being outweighed by nearly 70 pounds, Moore was able to keep things close until after 9 1/2 minutes, Draven caught him in a Cherokee Slam for the 1-2-3 and the win.
Match #2
The Soul Assassin vs Sonny Boy Gulano
The Soul Assassin wasn't showing much in soul as Gulano brought his unique style and beliefs that he is still in the 1950's to Dunellen and after the crowed stopped chanting Brylcream (look it up...it was big in the 50's and 60's), he managed to score a win over the self proclaimed Soul Man.
Match #3
Jack Spade vs The Illegal Out Of Space Alien
Spade, accompanied to ringside by Too Cocky Kevin Matthews and the Love Machine Nicky Oceans, told the audience that he was out scouting opponents for his friend Nicky Oceans and had signed on as Spade's manager for the evening. Commissioner Gino Moore told Matthews that was fine but Oceans had to go to the back. The Alien, not understanding what was going on tried to make the best he could and being nearly 7 inches taller than Spade, had the smaller wrestler on the defensive most of the match until Matthews put the Alien in the Matthews lock while the referees back was turned and Spade scored the win.
Match #4
Nigerian Nightmares with Princes Sheeta vs Jumpin Joe Janela and J.D. Smooth
The Nigerians, who entered the match undefeated used their 800+ pounds to their full advantage destroying Janela and Smooth, Smooth, being a little too arrogant himself decided he had enough and left Janela in the ring for a total annihilation from the Nightmares. When the referee awarded the decision, they continued the beatdown on Janela, taking out two security officers at the same time before former WWE star Giant Silva made the save.
Match #5
4 Way Battle For the NWS Junior Heavyweight Title as Nicky Oceans took on Frightmare, Too Hot Steve Scott and Corvis Fear. Oceans came to ringside with his friend Kevin Matthews who turned out to be the deciding factor as he carried Frightmare out of the ringside area and Scott and Fear battled each other before Oceans scored the win. When the referee raised Oceans hand, Matthews told him not to touch the champ and proceeded to put the Matthews lock on referee Sgt. Jimmy Storm, who was carried out of the ring by security.
Match #6
Gullivers Travel Match
Goat Boy, Tiger Man, Robert Pigeon and B. Fehrm, managed by J.D. Smooth took on the former WWE monster, the Giant Silva where the winner had to be carried to the back in a giant fishnet. Goat Boy started the match, but quickly tagged out to Tiger Man who tagged out to Robert Pigeon who turned out to Fehrm, all who had little success against the former WWE star. With Smooth yelling at all the wrestlers on what to do, they finally grabbed him, threw him in the ring and left, leaving Smooth to finish the match, which saw Silva land a giant splash (and we mean giant) on Smooth for the 1-2-3 and the win. Not finished, Silva carried Smooth to the back wrapped in the fishermans net, much to the delight of the fans.
Next NWS event is next Saturday in Basking Ridge with Tito Santana, Brutus Beefcake and more. For info call 732-888-1704
