NWS Results From "Holiday Havoc 2008" In Long Branch, NJ 12/27: Former ECW'ers Crowbar vs. Julio Dinero Battle In A Tables Match, A Baghdad Bullies Reunion With An Unexpected Ending, Two Teams Qualify For The 2009 J-Cup Tag-Team Tournament & More As NWS Closes Out 2008 In Style

National Wrestling Superstars closed out 2008 in style, as they have for the last few years, by bringing "Holiday Havoc 2008" to the Jersey Shore. This past Saturday night December 27th, a good Christmas crowd of 150+ filled the Seashore Arena/Gym in Long Branch, NJ to watch their favorite northeast wrestling promotion wow them once more.

In the first of two J-Cup Tag-Team Tournament qualifying matches, The Philly Wiz Kids (Zack Novack & Travis Blake) defeated the team of Nate Mustang & Antonio Malave. The two experienced high fliers from Philadelphia flustered Mustang & Antonio to the point where they started shoving each other in frustration, allowing Novack & Blake to take advantage and hit simultaneous stunners and simultaneous 1-2-3 pinfalls.

In the second J-Cup Tag-Team Tournament qualifying match, The Wild Breed defeated the team of NWS Cruiserweight Champion J.D. Smoothie & Bobby Firehawk. The experienced Wild Breed dominated their opponents, so much so that Smoothie left the ring in frustration. leaving his partner Firehawk to be speared and pinned 1-2-3.

In an NWS Heavyweight Title Number-One Contender's Match, former champion Vicious Vinny and Corey Havoc fought to a ten-minute time-limit draw. Both men brawled all over the arena, with neither gaining the advantage. Vinny missed a splash on Havoc in the corner, and the time-limit expired as Havoc tried to pin Vinny. Vinny asked for five more minutes, but Commissioner Moore ruled that the contract was only for ten minutes, but promised Vinny would get a rematch.

The reunited Baghdad Bullies (T.N.T & Saddam Insane & Prince Cameltoe & Hasheem "Chemical" Ali, with managers King Ran-sid Akhbar Idu Stinq & Moehoward Gottaheaves al-Getz) defeated the foursome of Romano Gualano & Dan Rageous & Wasted Youth & B. Fehrm. There was immediate dissension between the two managers, as King Stinq, who managed the Bullies in 2008, tried to assert himself as the main manager of the Bullies, while the returning Moehoward blamed King Stinq for all the troubles the Bullies have had as of late. The tension cooled, however, and the Bullies tore into their smaller opponents , using their size advantage to literally toss them around the ring. But Gualano and his team fought back, and were able to isolate the smallest member of the Bullies, Prince Cameltoe, and began to wear him down. The Bullies were eventually able to tag their other members in, but by then the dissension between the managers had spread to the Bullies themselves, and they began to push and shove each other. In the confusion, Saddam Insane hit Dan Rageous with an elbow drop and pinned him, giving the victory to the Bullies. But that was far from the end of it, as T.N.T and Hasheem Ali began brawling with Saddam Insane and Prince Cameltoe. Commissioner Gino Moore, whose hatred of the Bullies made him enjoy seeing their apparent disintegration, announced that in Middletown, NJ in February, there would be an Evil Versus Evil Match, pitting T.N.T & Hasheem Ali, with Moehoward as their manager, against Saddam Insane & Prince Cameltoe, with King Stinq as their manager. The Bullies continued to brawl all across the arena and out the back door (which Commissioner Moore ordered locked to keep them out for the rest of the night).

In a Fatal Four-Way Texas Tornado Match, Mikey Pacifica came out victorious against Nicky Oceans, Golden Lynx, and Nikko The Monkey Man. All four high-fliers took to the air extensively, keeping the crowd on the edge of their seats. Golden Lynx appeared to have the winning advantage as he hit a brainbuster on Nikko, but missed a flying splash, allowing Pacifica to hit one of his own on Nikko and get the three-count and victory.

In the Main Event, former ECW & WCW hardcore champion Crowbar defeated former ECW & TNA star Julio Dinero (with Miss Michelle) in a Tables Match. The match was announced as ECW-style no-holds-barred, and lived up to that monniker, as the two men brawled all over the arena, using chairs, ring stairs, and other objects against each other. Crowbar set up a table outside the ring early on, and both men battled around in, but neither was able to put the other through the table. Crowbar attempted to suplex Dinero over the ropes onto the table, but Dinero blocked it and suplexed Crowbar across the ring instead. Dinero then brought the table into the ring, and Miss Michelle tried to distract Crowbar, but Crowbar reversed things and suplexed Dinero onto the table and smashed him through it, winning the match and sending the holiday crowd home happy.
