NWS This Saturday 3/6 In Point Pleasant, NJ With "2010 Jersey Shore Tag-O-Mania", With Former WWE RAW Star Snitsky & Former ECW Brawler The Equalizer Vs. The Baghdad Bullies, Plus The Nigerian Nightmares, The Commandos & More
All-star pro wrestling returns to Ocean County and the Jersey Shore this Saturday night March 6th at 7:35pm at the Point Pleasant, NJ Elks Lodge (820 Arnold Avenue, just off Routes 35 and 88), courtesy of National Wrestling Superstars.
And the fans at this show will definitely get double the action, NWS presents their 2010 "Jersey Shore Tag-O-Mania" show, a night solely dedicated to tag-team wrestling. And what a lineup of tag-team matches are in store!
The feature match for this Saturday night has a couple of former TV wrestling stars teaming up together, as WWE RAW TV veteran Snitsky joins forces with one-time ECW brawler and Jersey Shore native The Equalizer to battle the hated Baghdad Bullies (Hasheem "Chemical" Ali & "The Evil American Turncoat" T.N.T). Back in January in nearby Brick, Ali and T.N.T ganged up on and beat up a 150-pound rookie wrestler who was brave enough to try and go toe-to-toe with Ali. Equalizer, who loves a good fight but despises an unfair fight, challenged the Bullies to a match on the spot, and his WWE friend Snitsky was only too happy to be his partner, and warned the Bullies that whatever happens to them in Point Pleasant, it's not his fault.
In another bout that has the fans all abuzz, the recent 2010 J-Cup Tag-Team Tournament Champions, the 800+ pound undefeated Nigerian Nightmares, will face off against a duo who are as loud and obnoxious as the Nightmares are big, "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Smoothie & A.C. Kewl. While only 150 pounds, Smoothie is a seasoned ring veteran who has battled big men before, and is confident that he can take these two behemoths down, and has convinced A.C. Kewl that he can be a part of history in handing the Nightmares thir first defeat. Whatever happens, it will certainly be a spectacle worth watching.
Plus, the team that were runners-up in the aforementioned J-Cup Tag-Team Tournament, The Commandos (former WWE developmental protege "Too Cocky" Kevin Matthews & NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans) will have a major challenge of their own when they take on local favorite Ray-Ray Marz and Jersey Shore big man Ryan Blackheart. Marz has already impressed the Ocean County fans, and has made it plain that he wants a shot at Oceans' title, and a victory over Oceans this Saturday will go a long way towards reaching that goal. But The Commandos are still sore about coming up short in the J-Cup, and will be looking to take out their frustrations on Marz and Blackheart.
Other tag-team bouts will feature the odd pairing of "The Cold-Hearted Playa" Danny Demanto and the flamboyant Divine taking on the dangerous duo of Gee-Had and G-Fatal, and Pop Warner coaches Rich Marinelli and Mike Krey will be featured on the show as guest managers, opposite long-time NWS manager "Hockey Goon" Rocco Dorsey.
Tickets are only $19 for adults and $17 for kids and seniors, and are available by calling the NWS box office at (732) 888-1704. Remaining seats, if any, will go on sale at the door one hour before bell time.
