National Wrestling Superstars Ends Its Summer Break In August, An Awesome Veteran To Battle In NWS Ring, And More

Hello NWS fans! This is your weekly update on what's happened, what is happening now, and what is going to happen soon in the nation's leading family-friendly pro wrestling promotion, National Wrestling Superstars.

Upcoming Shows

Friday night August 6th, NWS returns to the Middletown, NJ V.F.W. Hall (1 Veterans Lane at Route 36 in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, minutes from the Parkway), with a 7:45pm bell time.

NWS will team up with their sister all-ladies promotion Women Superstars Uncensored, for a "Guys And Dolls Night". Headlining the show will be two recent TV wrestling superstars. James Maritato, better known as former ECW and WWE star Nunzio, will be in the house. Plus, perhaps the biggest and toughest lady wrestler ever to step in the ring will be competing in Middletown that night, none other than recent TNA Wrestling star and multi-time ladies champion Awesome Kong. There will also be inter-gender wrestling action, and much more. Tickets are only $21 for adults and $19 for kids and seniors.

Saturday night August 7th, NWS debuts at the Long Branch, NJ Elks Lodge Showgrounds (150 Garfield Avenue at Memorial Parkway, minutes from Route 36 and the Parkway), for an outdoor "Wrestling Stars Under The Stars, with a special 8:00pm bell time.

NWS will continue their joint weekend with WSU, with encore appearances by Nunzio and Awesome Kong, and much more.

Tickets are only $19 for adults and $17 for kids and seniors.

An Awesome Headliner Returns To NWS

Back in December 2009, NWS fans got their first live look at perhaps the biggest, meanest, and toughest lady ever to step foot in a wrestling ring, TNA Wrestling star Awesome Kong. As part of a joint show with WSU, Kong challenged WSU World Champion Mercedes Martinez, and the match was appropriately nicknamed "The Awesome Challenge", as Kong took Mercedes to the limit.

Now, after months of waiting, NWS fans will once again get their chance to witness this literal giant of a lady wrestler, as Kong will be headlining a pair of joint NWS/WSU events. As has already be announced on the DOI, on Friday night August 6th in Middletown, NJ, Kong will battle another tough veteran of the ring wars, former ECW and WSU Women's Champion Angel Orsini. On Saturday night August 7th, Kong will make an encore appearancein Long Branch, NJ, and her opponent will be announced in the coming weeks.

Those who have seen Kong wrestle before, and those who haven't, you don't want to miss this opportunity.

NWS Has Six Big Shows Scheduled For August

In addition to the aforementioned Middletown and Long Branch shows, NWS has four more huge shows scheduled during the month of August, with some major matches and big surprises planned. Stay tune dfor further details.
