NWS Internet News Update For Week Of 02/28

NWS Raising The Bar To The Gold Standard, More Shows In March & More

Hello NWS fans! This is your weekly update on what's happened, what is happening now, and what is going to happen soon in the nation's leading family-friendly pro wrestling promotion, National Wrestling Superstars.

Upcoming Shows This Weekend

This Saturday night March 5th, NWS returns to the Island Heights, NJ Volunteer Fire Department (15 Lake Avenue, just off Route 37, minutes from the Parkway), with a 7:35pm bell time.
Area wrestling fans will not want to miss this extravaganza, not only to support the continued heroic efforts of the local fire company, but to see a true wrestling legend in the ring, a WWE hall-of-famer, a former WWE WWE Intercontinental and Tag-Team Champion, the one and only "El Matador" Tito Santana, who will don the tights and step inside the ring as part of a huge main-event tag-team match, where he will team up with former NWS Heavyweight Champion and Jersey Shore fan-favorite "Atomic Dog" Ali, to battle another former TV wrestling star in one-time ECW brawler The Equalizer, and his partner northeast veteran wrestler Danny Inferno.
And yet another former TV wrestling star will be on hand, the former ECW TV star The Zombie will be looking to feast on some more brains in Island Heights.
They grew up in Union, NJ, but now they call Seaside Heights their home, they're the reigning NWS Tag-Team Champions The Jersey Shore Jocks (Mike Dennis & Chris D'Andrea), and (like their MTV namesakes) they're not ones to miss any Jersey Shore area party, and will be pumping their fists and pounding the mat in Island Heights.
NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans will also see action Saturday, along with local favorite and former police officer "The Bounty Hunter" Johnny Ringo, former NWS Heavyweight Champion Ray Ray Marz, "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Smoothie, the Jersey Shore madman Slayer, A.C. Kewl, Bobby Youngblood, and manager Captain Johnny Kool.
As an added bonus to this bonus winter show, it will also be "Poster Night", with free 11x17 show posters to the first 75 fans.
Tickets are only $19 for adults and $17 for kids & seniors.

Other Upcoming Shows

Saturday night March 12th, NWS debuts at the Old Bridge, NJ Knights of Columbus Hall (61 Pine Street, just off Route 18), with a 7:35pm bell time.
The former WWE Hall-of-famer "El Matador" Tito Santana has been an Intercontinental Champion, Tag-Team Champion, and WrestleMania star (starting with the very first one), and after all that he can still don the tights, get in the ring, and flatten an opponent, and he'll be looking to do that in Old Bridge.
But the audience will also be thrilled by plenty of action from the regional and local pro mat stars. NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans will defend his belt against newcomer sensation The Jersey Kidd. Newly-crowned NWS Cruiserweight Champion Spyral will defend the title against two former champions, "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Smoothie and Jumping Joey Janela.
The 900-pound undefeated Nigerian Nightmares will also be in action, along with Danny Inferno, The Zoo World Order, J.T. Highlander, "Cannonball" Jeff Guerrero, "Retro Rocker" Ricky Roxx, and much more, including an appearance by Grand Knight Carlos Garcia as a guest manager.

Friday night March 18th, NWS returns to the Jersey Shore area at a brand new venue, Long Branch, NJ's newly-renovated Bucky James Community Center (231 Wilbur Ray Avenue, just off Route 36, minutes from the Parkway), with a 7:45pm bell time.
Former WWE TV legend and Hall-of-Famer "El Matador" Tito Santana, a former WWE Tag-Team Champion among his many accolades, will team up with Jersey fan-favorite "Atomic Dog" Ali in a main-event tag-team match, as they hope to settle old grudges with their opponents, veteran wrestler Danny Inferno and his partner, returning to the NWS ring after a long absence, "The Cold-Hearted Playa" Danny Demanto.
Champions will also abound in Long Branch, as NWS Heavyweight Champion Steve "Rampage" Rogers,  NWS Cruiserweight Champion Spyral, and NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans" will all be in action, along with the undefeated monsters known as The Nigerian Nightmares, "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. And NWS' return will not just be any ordinary night of pro wrestling... it will be NWS' latest edition of "Steel Cage Mania", as the main event will be held within the confines of that most celebrated place in wrestling, a fifteen-foot-high steel cage. It will pit former NWS Heavyweight Champion and veteran star "The Cold-Hearted Playa" Danny Demanto against a former ECW hardcore icon who's used to wrestling in any conditions, the homicidal suicidal genocidal Sabu.
There will also be appearances by NWS Heavyweight Champion Steve "Rampage" Rogers, NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans, and much more, including guest ring announcers Mayor Emeritus The Honorable Al LiCata and Long Hill Township PBA officer Gary Bauer.

Yet another former TV wrestling star will also be on hand in South Amboy, in the form of former ECW and TNA star Julio Dinero, with his lovely yet devious manager Miss Michelle at his side. There will also be an appearance by the undefeated Nigerian Nightmares, and special guests from South Amboy High School.
