Upcoming Shows This Weekend
Friday night April 8th, NWS returns to Edison, NJ at the Edison High School Gym (50 Boulevard Of The Eagles, minutes from Routes 1 and 27) with a 7:45pm bell time.
Former WWE TV stars "America's Hero" The Patriot, the evil Salvatore "Don't Call Me Pinky" Sincere, and the one and only Nick Dinsmore (a.k.a the former happy-go-lucky Eugene) will headline this latest of many annual appearances that NWS makes in the Edison area each year.
The show will also feature appearances by NWS Heavyweight Champion Steve "Rampage" Rogers, NWS Tag-Team Champions The Jersey Shore Jocks (Mike Dennis & Chris D'Andrea), and NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans who will be facing the aforementioned WWE TV alumnus Eugene.
Plus... a duo that began their NWS career right here in Edison and have been undefeated since then... weighing in at around 900 pounds, they are the awesome Nigerian Nightmares, and they will return to Edison this Friday night. They will be joined by ROH star Judas Young, international star Danny Inferno, "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Smoothie, "High Definition" Chris Steeler, "Corrupted" Corey Havoc, "Retro Rocker" Ricky Roxx, The Jersey Kidd, and female wrestling standouts Jana and Niya, plus many more stars.
Tickets are only $18 for ringside seats and $16 for bleachers.
Saturday night April 9th, NWS heads to South Jersey to make their annual return to Atco, NJ's Assumption School Gym (2122 Cooper Road, just off U.S. Route 30 near the intersection with Route 73), with a 7:35pm bell time.
Former WWE TV stars the evil Salvatore "Don't Call Me Pinky" Sincere, the one and only Nick Dinsmore (a.k.a the former happy-go-lucky Eugene), and last but not least, the huge monstrous Snitsky, will all headline NWS' annual return to this popular venue.
Snitsky has something special planned that night... he will issue an open challenge that night for anyone in the NWS locker room to face him one-on-one in a "Loser Goes Through A Door" Match. The rules are simple... the winner is the one who smashes his opponent through a wooden door that will be at ringside. The winner gets covered in glory, while the loser will most likely be covered in splinters and sawdust.
NWS Heavyweight Champion Steve "Rampage" Rogers, NWS Tag-Team Champions The Jersey Shore Jocks, NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans, and NWS Cruiserweight Champion Spyral will all see action in Atco, along with the 900-pound undefeated monsters The Nigerian Nightmares, CZW star Devon Moore, international star Danny Inferno, "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Sunday afternoon April 10th, NWS heads even further south to join up with their Delaware affiliate Funkdafied Wrestling Federation for their annual spectacular "Funk-A-Mania VIII" at New Castle, DE's Nur Shrine Temple (198 South Dupont Highway, minutes south of I-295 and the Delaware Memorial Bridge) with a 3:00pm bell time.

Results From Last Weekend
National Wrestling Superstars and their sister all-ladies promotion Women Superstars Uncensored teamed up on Saturday afternoon and evening April 2nd at Kearny, NJ's Presbyterian Boys & Girls Club for two annual joint events.
In the afternoon, NWS and WSU presented the 2011 Women's J-Cup Tournament, with eight top women wrestlers competing for the trophy and a shot at the WSU World Championship at WSU's "Uncensored Rumble" in June. A light but dynamite crowd was on hand to witness all the action.
- The show started with ring announcers Johnny Falco and Destiny introducing all eight participants: Jennifer Cruz, WSU Tag-Team Champions Marti Belle and Tina SanAntonio, "The Definition Of Technician" Cindy Rogers, Jana, Brittney Savage, Jamilia Craft, and WSU Spirit Champion Sassy Stephanie.
- Jennifer Cruz took the microphone and said she should have been introduced first, as she planned to prove she was the true star of the show by defeating Sassy Stephanie in the first round.
- Brittney Savage took the microphone and started to say this was going to be her night, but was interrupted as "Boy Diva" Rick Cataldo came out to the ring. Cataldo was furious that he was not included in the tournament (the ring announcers' claims that he wasn't a woman seemed to be lost on him), and demanded he be given his former Cosmo Club teammate Brittney's spot. Commissioner Moore announced there would be an opening match between Brittney and Cataldo for Brittney's spot in the tournament.
- Brittney Savage defeated "Boy Diva" Rick Cataldo to retain her spot in the tournament. The two former friends brawled furiously outside the ring, but Brittney was determined to keep her spot, and at the end fought her way out of a full-nelson slam attempt by Cataldo and hit an RKO to get the 1-2-3 pin.
- In the opening round of the tournament:
- Jana defeated WSU Tag-Team Champion Marti Belle with a facebuster.
- Jamilia Craft defeated WSU Tag-Team Champion Tina SanAntonio with a jawbreaker and a belly-to-belly suplex.
- WSU Spirit Champion Sassy Stephanie spoiled Jennifer Cruz's earlier prediction by defeating her, after an action-packed brawl, with a "Kiss-My-Sass".
- Brittney Savage defeated "The Definition Of Technician" Cindy Rogers in another good action match, after Cindy missed a legdrop and Brittney hit an RKO.
- In the semifinal round of the tournament:
- WSU Spirit Champion Sassy Stephanie defeated Jamilia Craft to earn the first spot in the finals. This was a battle of submission holds, as Craft withstood a reverse STF from Stephanie, and at the end, Craft had Stephanie locked in a dragon sleeper when the ten-minute time-limit expired (Stephanie withstood that hold for nearly the last two minutes before the bell without tapping out). Commissioner Moore announced that this tournament would have no draws or double-eliminations, and ordered the match restarted. After a few more exciting minutes, Stephanie blocked an uranage attempt by Craft and put her down with a "Kiss-My-Sass" for the 1-2-3.
- Brittney Savage defeated Jana to earn the other spot in the finals. Despite Jana's size and strength advantage, there was no stopping Brittney, and at the end she ducked out of the way of Jana's trademark cartwheel splash, and hit an RKO for the 1-2-3.
- Jessica Havock came out to the ring unannounced. She said she was here to fight Alicia, but Alicia wasn't coming until the evening show, and she wasn't coming all the way out here early for nothing, and issued an open challenge to anyone in the locker room. WSU newcomer Nikki Styx came out, and despite Havock's attempts to intimidate her, accepted her challenge.
- Jessica Havock defeated Nikki Styx. Styx was game and fought bravely, but the insane Havock was just too much, and after kicking out of a bulldog from Styx, Havock hit a crucifix slam and pinned her 1-2-3.
- WSU World Champion Mercedes Martinez succesfully defended her title against challenger Ariel. Ariel made the most of her opportunity and gave the champion all she had, but it wasn't enough, and after fighting out of an RKO attempt by Ariel, Mercedes hit her with her fisherman's suplex finisher and got the 1-2-3.
- In the final round, Brittney Savage defeated WSU Spirit Champion Sassy Stephanie to win the 2011 Women's J-Cup Tournament. Still smarting from losing the title to Stephanie at the WSU 4th Anniversary show, Brittney attacked Stephanie before the bell, and the fight was on, with both ladies fighting and brawling. Towards the end, Brittney hit a sternum-breaker on Stephanie and went for the RKO, but Stephanie blocked it and hit a "Kiss-My-Sass" on Brittney, only to get a two-count when Brittney got her foot up on the ropes. Stephanie went for another, but Brittney blocked it and hit her RKO finisher and got the 1-2-3.
- After receiving the J-Cup trophy, Brittney announed that she had done it all, winning four matches in one night and defeating all her former Cosmo Club stablemates. Only one goal remained... the WSU World Championship, and she called out Mercedes Martinez. Mercedes came into the ring and Brittney told her that this was a new era, and she was going to win the World Title all by herself at WSU Uncensored Rumble. Mercedes replied that Brittney would be coming into her house, and there was no way she was going to take her title. The two women stared each other down face to face as the show ended.
That same evening, the afternoon fans returned to the Boys & Girls Club, along with quite a few more making the crowd much larger and even more energetic, for the 2011 King And Queen Of The Ring Tournament, with eight inter-gender tag-teams competing for the crowns.
- Before the show, former ECW star "The Franchise" Shane Douglas" was introduced as a surprise special guest, as he sat in the back greeting the fans and signing autographs.
- Ring announcers Johnny Falco and Destiny introduced the eight teams:
- Former ECW/TNA star Julio Dinero & WSU World Champion Mercedes Martinez.
- Chikara star Frightmare & Jamilia Craft.
- "Corrupted" Corey Havoc & Nikki Styx.
- "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Smoothie & WSU Spirit Champion Sassy Stephanie.
- Jumping Joey Janela & Jana.
- Former WWE "Spirit Squad" star Kenny Dykstra & "The Definition Of Technician" Cindy Rogers.
- NWS Cruiserweight Champion Spyral & Ariel.
- NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans & Jennifer Cruz.
- Brittney Savage interrupted the introductions at the end, and called Mercedes Martinez a glory-hound for taking a spot in the tournament. She said if Mercedes had any real guts, she'd put up her WSU World Title in each of her matches tonight. Mercedes' pride was clearly insulted, and she agreed that if she got pinned tonight, her opposing lady would become the WSU World Champion. Brittney laughed, saying that Mercedes had fallen into her trap, but also a side of her hoped Mercedes would still be champion at the end of the night so that she would have the privilege of taking her down.
- In the opening contest, WSU Tag-Team Champions The Belle Saints (Marti Belle & Tina SanAntonio) retained their titles against challengers Monique & "Boy Diva" Rick Cataldo. Despite their credentials as individual wrestlers, Monique and Cataldo could not overcome Marti and Tina's tag-team experience, and after blocking a superplex attempt by Monique, Marti hit a flying bulldog off the top rope and pinned Monique 1-2-3 to retain the titles for the Saints.
- In the first round of the tournament:
- Chikara star Frightmare & Jamilia Craft defeated "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Smoothie & WSU Spirit Champion Sassy Stephanie, when Jamilia pinned Stephanie after a belly-to-belly suplex while Frightmare and Smoothie were fighting on the outside.
- Former WWE "Spirit Squad" star Kenny Dykstra & "The Definition Of Technician" Cindy Rogers defeated NWS Cruiserweight Champion Spyral & Ariel, when Kenny pinned Spyral after a powerbomb. After the match, even though he was the one pinned, Spyral blamed Ariel for the loss, and Ariel, clearly insulted, low-blowed Spyral in return.
- NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans & Jennifer Cruz defeated Jumping Joey Janela & Jana, when Oceans pinned Janela after a superkick and a piledriver.
- Former ECW/TNA star Julio Dinero & WSU World Champion Mercedes Martinez defeated "Corrupted" Corey Havoc & Nikki Styx after double superkicks from Julio and Mercedes took down Havoc, and Mercedes hit a fisherman's suplex on Nikki and pinned her.
- In the second round of the tournament:
- NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans & Jennifer Cruz defeated Chikara star Frightmare & Jamilia Craft to claim a spot in the finals. With experienced high-fliers in the ring, this made for an exciting match. Towards the end, Craft took down Cruz with a massive neckbreaker, but Oceans withstood a neckbreaker from Frightmare, and reversed Frightmare's monkey-flip attempt into his Boom-Boom-Pow finisher, and pinned Frightmare.
- Former ECW/TNA star Julio Dinero & WSU World Champion Mercedes Martinez defeated former WWE "Spirit Squad" star Kenny Dykstra & "The Definition Of Technician" Cindy Rogers to claim the other spot in the finals. Just as the previous bought was full of high-fliers, this bout had four experienced ring technicians, making for another thrilling semifinal match. Towards the end, Julio thwarted a double-team by Kenny and Cindy and took them both down with a double clothesline. Mercedes then knocked Kenny out of the ring with a flying knee to the back, and hit a fisherman's suplex on Cindy and pinned her.
- In another non-tournament bout, Alicia and Jessica Havock fought to a double-disqualification. The two women were clearly intent on destroying each other, Alicia driven by a need to avenge Havock for her interference in her title match the previous month, and Havock driven by an insane raw hatred for Alicia. They brawled all over the ring, and eventually on the outside where they refused to answer the referee's count to return to the ring. When the NWS referee corps came out to try and separate them, Alicia and Havock knocked them flat on their backs and continued to brawl. NWS Commissioner Moore immediately called for the bell and disqualified both ladies. It took the entire corps of referees and Security to separate the two, and Alicia challenged Havock to an Uncensored Rules rematch at WSU Uncensored Rumble in June, to which Havock accepted.
- In the final round, former ECW/TNA star Julio Dinero & WSU World Champion Mercedes Martinez defeated NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans & Jennifer Cruz to win the 2011 King And Queen Of The Ring crowns. Cruz came to the ring holding her neck, which was still in pain from the last match, but was still gutsy enough to start the match. Julio claimed that they would defeat Cruz before Oceans could even tag in, and even though that did not occur, the match was fiercely competitive, with Oceans and Cruz taking the fight to Julio and Mercedes. Towards the end, Oceans interrupted Mercedes' fisherman's suplex attempt on Cruz, and tried to pick her up for his Boom-Boom-Pow finisher. Julio and Mercedes threw Oceans and Cruz into each other, and hit twin fisherman's suplexes on both of them to get the pinfall victory.
- Former ECW star "The Franchise" Shane Douglas came into the ring and presented Mercedes and his fellow ECW alum Julio with the crowns.
- As Julio and Mercedes were celebrating, Brittney Savage tried to sneak into the ring and clock Mercedes with her title belt, but Mercedes caught Brittney, and Brittney was forced to toss the belt back to Mercedes, with the two of them saying "See you at Uncensored Rumble" as the show ended.
