NWS Kicks Off 2008 With Two Shows Next Weekend 1/18-1/19 With Eugene, Tito Santana, The Blue Meanie, Julio Dinero & More

If your New Year's resolution was not to wait until the last minute to do important things, then the first way to keep that resolution is to not wait until the last minute to buy wrestling tickets. We're already well into 2008, so it's time for America's favorite family-themed pro wrestling promotion, National Wrestling Superstars to kick into high gear, and this weekend begins a mid-winter blitz of action with two big shows in two big locations this Friday & Saturday January 18th-19th.

This Friday night January 18th, NWS returns to the perennial popular Manville, NJ VFW Hall, 600 Washington Avenue (right off South Main Street & minutes from I-287), with the action beginning at 7:45pm.

A host of local favorite pro wrestlers will be lighting up the ring including Nate Mustang, Rich "Ice Pick" Lowinski, Roman, Indian Brave Draven, and NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion Myke "G.Q." Quest. And that's just for starters. Headlining this event will be no less than five former TV wrestling stars. At the top of the heap is a former WWE TV star who has been called "special" in more ways than one... he's the high-fiving tongue-wagging happy-go-lucky RAW star known as Eugene, and he's looking to have a special time in his NWS debut. Another former WWE TV star in "America's Hero" The Patriot will also be lighting up the ring and the fans, along with three former ECW TV stars in The Blue Meanie, Julio Dinero, and The Zombie. Tickets are still available for this event, but are going fast.

This Saturday night January 19th, NWS returns to North Plainfield, NJ, to the Italian-American Social Club's Crystal Room, 403 Somerset Street in North Plainfield, NJ (just off Route 22 and minutes from I-78), beginning at 7:35pm.

Luchador Antonio Malave, Blade Michaels, The Jersey Cowboy, Damian Creed, Riot are just some of the local standouts scheduled to appear. Another North Jersey wrestling standout Fred "Bonecrusher" Sampson (who has appeared on WWE Heat and RAW) will be in North Plainfield, and will face a unique challenge from another former WWE star, as he will be in a "Body Beautiful Posedown" match against bad boy Salvatore Sincere. But headlining NWS' encore appearance in the Crystal Room will be a former WWE Intercontinental and Tag-Team champion, WWE hall-of-famer "El Matador" Tito Santana. Tito will be making his first-ever appearance in North Plainfield, and is looking forward to greeting all his fans.
